George West 145703. In a report in the Western Mail of 01-08-1910 it stated he is better known as Dai Thomas of Cardiff who earned fame by defeating the "Coffee Cooler".
C.A.Barnett wrote in South Wales News in"Boxing" of August 2,!913 that since Dai Thomas and Dave Peters fought their historic contests at Caerphilly there has not been a bout of importance in the town.

Good to see that BoxRec did not confuse the George West who fought Frank Craig in 1910 with Guardsman George West.
