What do you reckon Clotty got for that fight? I'm guessing a least a couple of million? Either way he earned it IMO.

Pacquiao is in a real corner now.

Much as it pains me to say it, I think that us Pacquaio fans have to admit that Golden Boy and Mayweather have completely outmanoeuvred him. Now, where is there for him to go? Roach wants one or two fights max, and the only fight, really, that can add to his legacy is the winner of Mosley-Mayweather. But they're both, in effect, Golden Boy fighters. And now Arum is in huffy, siege mode with Golden Boy once again.

Valero might be a fairly entertaining slug fest, but I really don't see Pacquiao being anything other than long odds-on going into that fight, on recent performances, with Valero having a sluggers choice. And you have to wonder about the safety of putting Pacquiao any further up the weights.

Pacquaio is brilliant. The best offensive fighter I've seen since I started watching boxing. He's the perfect attack machine, these days. But he's going to have to make the fight with the winner of Mosley Mayweather next up.

pac will still make plenty of money vs welterweights like margarito and even - ugh - yuri foreman up at 154 in order to become a 50-weight world champ or whatever the current number is. for a guy who appeared to have peaked as a 122-126-pounder - weights you usually have to go to hell and back to make a good living - for him now to be able to sell half a mil to a million+ PPVs as a mainstream welterweight attraction...that is pretty incredible.

mayweather will hardly be chuffed that he's having to fight big welterweights like mosley in order to get his money - if the pac fight can't be made. i see what you're saying, but mosley only became free after berto withdrew. basically, mosley became free to fight because of the disaster in haiti.

Mosely would take on Pac at the drop of a hat. If he beats Floyd, which is very unlikely, that fight will be made next, with hardly any problems at all I think.

As for being outmanoeuvred, Floyd is still playing catch up in terms of legacy when compared to Pacman. Manny could feasibly retire today and Floyd would still have to beat Mosely and one of Cotto, Margarito or Williams to match up.

It's cringeworthy, WWE doesn't even stoop to that level, fornicate knows what his colleagues were thinking of it all.

Lampley's been that bad for years though, not quite sure why people seem to be acting like last weekend was some sort of new all-time low for him.

the day Adam Smith has ONE nuthugger, I will run through my city naked.
out of interest, when he says something like 'manny may have more success if he starts going to the body more, but it's difficult for a slugger like manny to remember to go to the body'- at a point when manny has been smashing away to the body for about 4 rounds (second Morales fight)- are you embarassed for him?

I thought it was a fantastic performance by Pacquiao.... infact, I thought whilst it was not as electric as the Cotto and Hatton fights.... it was more impressive. Why, cause I thought it looked like Pac is filling out to become a fully fledged Welterweight now.

Okay, he didn't hurt Clottey like he did Hatton and Cotto, but the key to me was his ability to absorb Clottey's shots. Clottey is the strongest, freshest, fighter he has faced in a long time and he didn't hurt Pacquaio. I felt Cotto and Hatton (briefly) did.

Cheesy as fcuk, I absolutely hate it when I have to listen to US commentary - period.

That bang.... bang.... bang..... silliness posted earlier on must be as bad as the Colonial - if not worse.

Having viewed a PPV Live in the US & becoming physically sick by the US TV BS - Lets just say I'll never be moving there or visiting again when a fight is on that I need to watch lol.

Thank God for Ian Darke & that lunatic Bunce!
