What does the "C" status mean (as opposed to "

in Boxrec, there doesn't seem to be a legend indicating the meaning of the status character, "A" figures to mean "active", "I" figures to be inactive but what about "C"?

any ideas?

does that mean the fighter retired on his own accord, was forced into retirement, i.e. CAN he/she be relicensed and so a "C" could theoretically become an "A"?

He could in theory come back. ie Lennox Lewis is "complete" at the moment but should he return he will become "Active"

and that is their final record (unless they un-retire)

I'm guessing that after a certain amount of days (365) that a boxer goes from "A" to "I" and after a certain number of days of inactivity after that the boxer would go from "I" to "C"

Actually a fighter only becomes complete when he is turned to that status by an editor who has solid enough proof that the record of the fighter in question no longer misses any fights. Most of the old fighters are just "inactive" and will stay that way,
