I am not the only one who thinks Erdei is #1. he beat Gonzalez who made a class of a fight vs DM. Erdei beat him clearly. And surprise, surprise Johnson lost to the Mexican as he lost in the past vs every better name. His best name on his winning list was Thomas Ulrich. Should i say more?J wrote:fuckinell bubi there is nothign wrong with GJ being number one he has the biggest claim out of all of them.
He isnt british so there no national bias and the only person who thinks Erdei is number one is you mate. Cos he is german I guess.
lets hope they get it on, Johnson will muller erdei.

RJJ was done. a win over him doesn´t count and prove anything. Tarver was just overrated. Who did he beat then?J wrote:you forgot roy joines and antonio tarver.
tarver isnt shot, so he was the number one so now johnson is, its simple really.
Ive not heard anyone else make an argument for Erdei to be numero uno.
Sorry mate but I htink you way off the mark on this one.

Johnson lost to Gonzalez and Tarver didn´t beat anybody aside an over-the-hill RJJ.DavidPayne wrote:Bubi your tracers are laughable.
Erdei beat Gonazales who did well versus DM?
Johnson KO'd Jones who played with Gonzales who did well versus DM?
Johnson beat Tarver who KO'd Jones who played with Gonzales who did well versus DM?
Do you want anymore?

there´s no hill, tiozzo, Branco etc. just two average american guys and a done RJJ. I see no top boxer he beat and he is fornicating 36 years old. an overrated joke. not more.J wrote:montell griffin eric harding then p4p number one jones.
you dont half talk some crap when it suits you mate.
Johnson has lost to Hopkins (o.k. that´s normal), Merqui Sosa (who the fornicate is he?), Kiwanuka(who?), Ottke, Vanderpool, Branco, Sheika (4 in row), Harmon and Gonzalez and draws vs Daniel Judah and Woods. It´s a shame for this division that such a guy is recognised as the #1.

re
Zsolt Erdei is going to follow the same formula that made DM so successful, fight a supposed contender that no one has ever heard of, then fight him again, and then start moving up in class by taking on recycled Johnson opponents and when he finally faces a "live" opponent the same thing will happen to him that happened to DM!

How many times do we have to go over the same ground. Most of the losses on Johnson's record, should have been wins for Johnson. That includes the 1st Woods fight, the Sheika fight, the Judah fight, Branco and arguably Gonzales. It's well known in America, if you don't believe me, then try emailing doug fischer at maxboxing.BubiScholz wrote:there´s no hill, tiozzo, Branco etc. just two average american guys and a done RJJ. In any case, having a perfect unbeaten record is well overrated, fighters learn more from losses than wins, and many fighters like Johnson with patchy records, go on to become better fighters, not so much these days because of TV's obsession with unbeaten records.
Many fighters though who have those losses, have them because they do not have a decent promoter looking after them, and so have to take many fights at short notice, in their opponent's hometown, and with everything against them.
As for Tarver, aside from beating Roy Jones, he beat all of the top contenders available, Johnson, Griffin and Harding.
The reason Tiozzo doesn't figure is he got beat by ancient non-punching Virgil Hill in 1 fornicating round! Who the fornicate has he beaten since then apart from shot Dariusz (according to yourself), and Silvo Branco, another in a long line of undeserving European title holders.
You're deluded mate. Beating Jones and Tarver isn't impressive, but beating Hill and Tiozzo is!! Hahahah!

No that is not the case. There are genuine losses, and downright robberies, if even his opponent (Daniel Judah) says that Johnson should have won the fight, doesn't that tell you something?BubiScholz wrote:losses are losses. if my aunt would have a penis she would be my uncle.DavidPayne wrote:Its also a shame 6 or 7 of those are not the wins they should be otherwise his record would be comparable to Ottke or Dariusz who of course, received their share of contentious decisions.

A mate of Clinton Woods' I spoke to even said he thought Clinton lost the first fight.
You refuse to even listen to any point of view other than the one you have already made your mind up on, so it's a waste of time trying to talk to you. If someone is robbed of decisions, that doesn't make them a bad fighter.

I use to think being undefeated was super impressive, and it is when a boxer faces the best! Look over the records of old-time fighters who have a lot of wins and several losses! They have several losses because they fought the very best and when you fight the very best for ten, or fifteen years, there are going to be losses, several in most cases! Being undefeated nowadays usually just signifies that the fighters is either very talented, or they just haven't fought any real competition, and in a lot of instances a combo of both!
Funny thing is that someone on this board is hyping a cuple of german based heavyweights that both have losses, he must have forgot that.jamesmcdonnell wrote: In any case, having a perfect unbeaten record is well overrated, fighters learn more from losses than wins, and many fighters like Johnson with patchy records, go on to become better fighters, not so much these days because of TV's obsession with unbeaten records.

even a win over Judah and Woods doesn´t make you a top fighter. and Johnson never was a top fighter and will never be. he is only the #1 on the papers of the american influenced. Again: RJJ was done like DM was on Saturday. Tarver is no top fighter.jamesmcdonnell wrote:No that is not the case.
