oh come on, Brook's good but he's not ready for a world level fighter yet is he?Bomber 1 wrote:Matthew Hatton!!!

Brook would demolish Hatton and the decent but fragile O'Donnell. If anything I think those guys would be a step down from Bienias.

Re: who should kell brook fight next?
He does look like a real prospect. I would like to see him in with the loser of Hatton vs Branco, to give him some more experience. Or Jennings as that is another intresting domesic match up
Re: who should kell brook fight next?
What about Collazo? That would be a good yard stick.
Re: who should kell brook fight next?
Collazo is a bit too much at this point in my opinion. He is a world class 147 pounder and in the last 8 years has only lost to elite fighters in Mosley, Berto, and Hatton, with the last two being very close fights. I think Jennings, Hatton, and N'dou are good fights for Brook right now. After that I would like to see him in with a guy at the same level as Alfonso Gomez, and following that a guy like Collazo.
Re: who should kell brook fight next?
i agree - i think kell would beat collazo but it would be a real risk and a HUGE leap from the level of opponents he has had so far.
one or two more bridging fights, as has been said, then in with someone like him. as i put above, n'du would be perfect.
i do not think that matthew hatton would be interested in the fight!

it's crazy if your frnk warren! i think it would be a great match-up high risk but kell can pull it offWales wrote:Talk of Collazo next is crazy, surely?

Re: who should kell brook fight next?
Again, i see that as a massive step (Quintana), too big a step. A fighter who beat Paul Williams, and whos only defeats came in that rematch and against Cotto.
Career suicide to go in too deep too early.
Am I right in thinking Kell has never gone past 6 rounds... ?

Has castillo retired? One last pay day, big name, faded fighter, ideal to raise profile and right down frankies street. Or how about the guy that was the nearly man against Castillo - N'gjudo - was it?
I'd still go for N'dou. tough seasoned and a name accross the globe.
Re: who should kell brook fight next?
i see quintana as an easier touch than collazo and he beat williams because williams didnt take him seriously and got out hussled brook wouldnt underestimate quintanaWales wrote:Again, i see that as a massive step (Quintana), too big a step. Collazo Quintana are too much for Zeke. Surprised no-one has said Witter. Although Id much rather have sex with a bee hive than watch it.

Agree though, Collazo's the better out the two.

Re: who should kell brook fight next?
Matthew Hatton won't fight him, he's only chasing fights going for titles that he doesn't deserve or crap ones like the IBO. He's not going to fight someone like Brook, or anyone half decent, in a million years.

Re: who should kell brook fight next?
How do you go from fighting sub-domestic class to world class and be expected to shine. He needs to fight someone who will test his chin because if you think those two southpaws Quintana and Collazo wont find his chin with alarming ease you have another thing coming
I dont even know if Warren knows what to do with him. I found it telling that when asked of his next move he mentions a fantasy style matchup of Khan, one he knows has no chance of happening. Contrast this with Mitchell, after his win Frank mentions Katsidis, next thing you know tickets are on sale
I predict his next fight will be against inactivity or Jennings

Re: who should kell brook fight next?
kell brook's a great stylist. if he gets developed properly, he'll have the precision and sharpness to beat slick southpaws like quintana and collazo. but he needs to get the good fights and as a british champion jennings would have been an excellent indicator of where he's at. shot, if he'd have bashed up jennings, he could have compared himself to the world class cotto. what a missed opportunity that was.
i wonder if he will ever really catch on and reach his full potential. either his opponent pulls out, or he pulls out, it seems. it's a good job he has FW who is able to dress up nothing fights (like bienias, former witter victim) as near world title eliminators.
i also wonder, by the time he has landed a title shot, whether he will be strong at the weight, 147. and if he ever has to move up to 154, will he be strong enough at that weight?
i see brook a a better talent than khan, in that he is much more correct and subtle. when khan was in the domestic level fights, he was rushing at opponents with his chin up and gob open, flailing with arm punches. brook gets the proper weight into his shots, turns them over properly, edges in and out of position with subtlety, and is great to watch. now that warren doesn't have khan, surely he'll be prioritising the likes of brook. this should be good, because i'm getting a little impatient.
