bayaar isn't un-hittable but he's pretty tough, and awkward with it. maybe a bit early for Sexton (don't know how many fights he's had now though..) ????

he's had 9 fights, this is sexton's first real test, bayaar is nothing special but has a good chin

ok i had it in mind he was on 7...

one of those isn't it, could be the right moment to bring him on, could be a bit early for him and he gets old-manned...... he looks skilled enough to deal with Shinny from what I've seen of him.

I would be seriously be shocked if that Happened, imo a fight that Sexton can win but he will have to use his Boxing skills, not mix it and keep it long. It is a Big step up compared to who he has fought....

Very good fight. Sexton has looked very good of late but Bayaar is as strong as an ox and is relentless and way more expierenced, Im going Bayaar late KO

Dont discount Bayaars strength and power also, he got decent dig on him too!
If Sexton keeps it long and sharp he'll be pretty comfortable i'd say, but up close and inside is where he could come unstuck!

Should be a cracking fight.

Big test for Sexton, but big rewards if he can pull it off. Bayar can certainly be outboxed and outworked, but that's a lot easier said than done over 12 rounds at flyweight.

I think Sexton can do it, but it won't be easy with his limited pro experience.

Its a pitty that you could'nt of got Chris Edwards 1st for the commonwealth because imo thats the easier fight that way you could of got the 12 round under your belt, i will be Shocked if you KO Shinny. I know both of you well as we Spar and i fought Shinny, he only had 24 hour notice both weighted in on the night i was 8.6 1/2 he was 8.5 1/2 altought you will be heavier then i was on the night, try not to watsed too much energy early coz 12 rounds is a long time!

I expected Sexton v Edwards as mentioned that could be a great clash of styles. Bayaar aint a great fighter to watch, he's awkward and tough, so I'll be rooting for Sexton in this fight because we need to see young BRITISH fighters holding the belt. Hopefully we will see another big KO like it happened against Uzzy but it will be tough.

No disrespect but I dont see this is as a headline fight so Fury v Mcdermott would be welcomed. But McDermott is a Maloney fighter and Hennessy won the purse bids so it would make no sense putting the fight on the bill.

Bayaar is a tough little cookie, very strong fighter at the weight and underestimated I feel. I also would have preferred you to go for Edwards first and then bayaar as I think that makes more sense progression-wise. Good luck though, it is a step up in class but at some point it has to be made!

Full marks to Ashley for taking this fight so soon and good luck :TU: . A touch of the Froch's and Haye's in showing no fear in stepping up.

Good fight this one...... been very impressed with Sexton so far, this could be quite a tough ask though. I think Sexton's class will prevail, but he will be tested.

I see the promotional hype started after Bayaar's latest win. Good bit of banter between the two of them at ringside, although sexton was a little bit disrepectful. I suppose if it puts more bums on seats, then job done. Shinny didn't seem ruffled either.

I am more than happy to see Shinny as British champion - if he has a British passport and sees himself as British then he is as British as me in my opinion! :TU:
