Roman Gonzalez - Ivan Meneses: wrong information
You list the stoppage on a retirement at 0:10 of the fourth round. I just watched a DVD of the fight. Meneses was badly swollen under the left eye, nose bloodied, and he was being overpowered in a corner when referee Robert Hoyle waved the finish right at the END of round 4. I didn't get the stoppage time, but the on-screen time showed 10 seconds remaining in the round when Gonzalez launched his finishing onslaught, the time was taken off the screen, but I would think the stoppage time would have been 2:59, or maybe a "stopped at end of round" type of thing; I did not hear the bell ring to end the round. It was a referee's stoppage, not a retirement.

Thanks for the heads up.
We wouldn't be having these conversations if the commissions would cooperate.

Now you have Gonzalez stopping Meneses in the third round. Gonzalez stopped him in the FOURTH round as I clearly stated. The first two rounds were clearly Gonzalez rounds but Meneses was very game although already swollen under the left eye ... In the third Meneses was dropped, bleeding from the nose and the left eye starting to close from below, and he was stopped on his feet in round FOUR, right at the very end of the FOURTH round.

Because I had to replace another editor’s entry, I searched and came up with this reference in Esto which I have translated;

PUEBLA, Pue .- Nicaraguan Roman "Chocolatito Gonzalez confirmed why he is one of the strongest champions of today with a
technical knockout in three rounds over Mexican Ivan Meneses, last night before a packed Siglo XXI auditorium to retain his
straweight World Boxing Association (WBA) belt.
However, I went back and researched more extensively and found one to your liking.
