Professional sport players or celebs boxing
Besides football players Mark Gastineau and Alonzo Highsmith and celeb Mickey Rourke, who else from their "elite" ranks have tried to have a legit boxing career? I wished Gastineau or Highsmith would have fought Tyson, that would have been amusing.

Former English U-21 football international, Curtis Woodhouse is now a professional boxer. He had a decent enough football career and is doing alright as a boxer. He is due to fight on the Haye-Ruiz undercard in a few weeks.

Wilt Chamberlain famously challenged Muhammad Ali, but I don't believe Wilt ever had a pro or amateur fight.

Charlie Powell was a pro football player before boxing. I think Jack O'Halloran also had a brief football career.

I ran into him at Jabs Gym in Chicago a couple of years ago. He had a long reach.

Is there any fight film of Too Tall Jones boxing?
I remember back in the early 1980's,on the local news
when sports came on,they use to show high lights of his fights
Wasnt he knocked down in one?
If so why isnt it listed on his boxrec fight record?

Lee Canalito was a star defensive lineman at the University of Houston Texas.
He hurt his knee and took up boxing, had 7 amateur fights and won the Houston Golden Gloves.
He turned pro in 1977,and Angelo Dundee was his trainer.
his pro career was from 1977-1987.
(21 -(19 by KO)-0-0.
He was ranked 9th in 1985.
I think I saw one of his fights on television, but cant remember which one.
He was being managed by Sylvester Stallone at that time and that brought him a lot of attention.

Jack Palance fought pro under the name Jack Brazzo, claimed 12-2 pro record and one of the losses was to Joe Baksi who went on to become a top contender.
Bob Hope (Packy East) fought as an amateur, never a pro. Errol Flynn had a few documented amateur fights and Dean Martin claimed a 2-1 record.
Mushy Callahan who trained actors for boxing films for the studios -Flynn, Kirk Douglass, Robert Ryan, Ward Bond- claimed that the one with most talent was Elvis Presley.
