Midland ABA Finals Sunday

I only found out about this today, blummin flyer in the hairdressers of all things.

don't suppose anyone's going? any boxers I should be looking out for (TerribleTerry?)?

haven't seen any ama fights for a couple of years so I'm a bit behind the times with the midlands scene atm

I'm up t'north this weekend so won't be able to go.

Heard good things about Lee Glover from round this end :TU:

Cheers mate and you, up north quite a lot these days weekends so i'm not managing to get to as many local shows but we'll have to have a meet up soon fella :TU:

might be worth posting your findings on here afterwards , letting us know whos the ones to watch potentially as far as possible olympians . Leigh wood , who i mentioned above is a lightning quick super bantamweight from nottingham but trains out of lincoln , from what im told he was going to go pro but is now holding out for the olympics , ive only saw him fight once but he looked good that time. Aint it all being organised by Todd at droitwitch abc ? , ive got him on facebook so ill ask him who he thinks are the ones to watch and post it on here .

yeh I'll try mate. Got a wedding tomorrow though so I'll be getting to the Tower Ballroom after a 36 hour pissup so....... I may struggle to remember things. or maybe I'll be seeing four boxers in the ring.

Yeh he took a rematch in moylettes home town when he didnt need to gave away a couple of kilos and lost 7.5 i told him he should have told em to piss off but hes a very determined and gutsy kid

gwan leigh mate , comfortable in the end , nottingham has got another future champ , should reach british level when he turns pro , at least , its my understanding that its aba's then olympics , then pro , all being well

ive had to turn it off after the 2nd senior fight (lee glover won at 57 kg) as im guessing there more trafic than usual , its slowed right down cant watch it properly , probably dont help that my computer has about had it , but was working fine at first .

You Midlands lads - what's the story with Lee Glover ?
Is this the kid that was turning pro last year with a Promo team from Coventry ?
Is it the same kid I seem to recall getting robbed in the ABA's before ?
