shhhhhhhhh how wrong loliwz678 wrote:I dont think McDonnel has done enough to be on something like Primetime even m8, he's a very small name even in British Boxing circles.
Napa beat him in my opinion and the French lad will do a job on him, but I'll ask about for a stream m8

I hope people took the tip!Gooner123 wrote:Have faith people, the titles coming back to these shores via tko![]()
In all honesty I think he has a good chance and is 11/4 on will hill so its worth a punt
Re: Jamie McDonnel's EBU title fight - on French TV.
Not many people thought he would win tonight but to come with away with a stoppage and boxed the way he did was brilliant to see.Well done JamieGooner123 wrote:I hope people took the tip!Gooner123 wrote:Have faith people, the titles coming back to these shores via tko![]()

People who knew Arnould thought McD would win, it was just a question of whether the judges would let him win. So credit to him for a good win and not leaving it to the judges.MPG wrote:Not many people thought he would win tonight but to come with away with a stoppage and boxed the way he did was brilliant to see.Well done JamieGooner123 wrote:I hope people took the tip!Gooner123 wrote:Have faith people, the titles coming back to these shores via tko![]()

Thats the Way i see it, did perform much better then i thought he would tho. Looked really well putting his punches together
Although people talk about the Napa fight saying this and that, if Napa had gone over i could'nt of seen him winning anyway as he would'nt of Knocked out Arnould....
Would love to know how the judges score cards, i only see from the 5th round , he was winning everything i see...
What a year so far for him, Malik Bouziane won this Title 2 fights later he is fighting for IBF World Title after only 15 fights, open's so many Doors...

Jamie winning this title may mean him vacating - if that happens will you fight for the vacant British and Commonwealth titles?Londonirish wrote:Thats the Way i see it, did perform much better then i thought he would tho. Great result, and to win a European title on foreign soil makes it even better.
Good times for British boxing right now, be great if another of the tv networks would think about the sport again.

Was it a proper 10 count knockout?
Re: Jamie McDonnel's EBU title fight - on French TV.
Thanks for that Gooner. Tremendous win for Jamie. What a cracking left hook that was to floor Arnould. McDonnell looked really strong and looked like he used all of his physical advantages to really impose himself on the Frenchman. Arnould was just battered into submission in the end.Gooner123 wrote:Heres some highlights I've found.

tremendous result, always is when a brit takes a title in europe, i remember when esham travelled and won..its always fantastic.
always dodgy those foreign judges...
sometimes our fellas need a stoppage to force a draw !!! ...

Re: Jamie McDonnel's EBU title fight - on French TV.
Ha Ha its great to see we have so many doubters at the beggining of this topic.... so cheers to you guys that fights dedicated to you guys!
Im Jamies trainer and firstly i would like to congratulate the lad on boxing the perfect fight and sticking to plan we had set.
It was a world class performance in my eyes from a young man (23) who went into the kids own back yard with only 6 weeks notice
and put in a performance like he did. Nothing seems to faze this kid and trust me the skys the limit for him, hes a real fighter! hes coming on all the time.
He dominated the fight from round one and broke the kids heart.
Well done Jamie and everyone involved with team mac.... oh and of course myself think i need a pat on the back lol
Cheers guys.
