Couldn't agree more. I know I don't post here regularly, and I freely admit that I don't have the knowledge that many of you who do post here regularly have. So I don't want to sound patronising here, but:

Fact is, I consider this the best, most knowledgeable forum there is. for a mostly armchair fan like me, it's a great place to gain a better understanding of the sport. And the main reason for that is the fact that, whilst people disagree, they generally argue their cases with facts, rather than resorting to petty insults. I read other forums, as I'm sure many of you do, or have done, and they more often than not end up resembling kid's playgrounds, with ego-ridden, predjudiced posters who forget about boxing and boxers, and resort to personal feuds and spend their whole time trading insults, be they personal or broader, xenophibic views.

For all the time I've perused this forum, it's avoided all that crap. It's been a genuine fan forum, where boxing gets discussed in a civilised manner. And that's what sets this place apart as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry if that sounds pompous and long-winded, but I just wanted to try and give you a more detached view, as it were.

You are completely right and I for one cannot stand petty insults and crap like that! I'm just kidding, I'm as guilty as anyone and probably played a part in this post being written. I would rather it stick to boxing, but I have a difficult time letting it go by when someone insults me and I don't casually, or inconspicuosly go after the person, I go with both barrells blazing and I certainly want to get the last word in, but if I feel I am wrong in something that I have said I don't care to apologize either!
