The inductees are not all American, they are from all over the world. There are quite a few other European fighters in there Bubi. Germany hasn't really had that many special fighters is has to be said.

Ottke boxed the best, well almost, not quite, but he boxed them in the knowledge that pretty much as long as he finished the fight on his feet, he was going to get the decision, I'm sorry if that seems biased, but that is how I see it. I guess you could argue the same about Calzaghe, but only the fights against Starie and Reid were debatable. Neither was a robbery, but both were close and debatable fights.
i know you hate Ottke but he won vs all top fighters except Calzaghe. and he did beat, just taking your arguments, the best light heavy of 2004, who will have to be a hall of famer in your opinion.

Ottke will never be in the hall of fame because knowledgable boxing experts know that a lot of his wins were controversiol.

Ottke won´t come into the hall of fame because he is german. he had 2 or 3 conroversial wins like any other american hall of famer has. i won´t say anything more to this theme.

Ottke followed the same career path that the biggest percentage of German fighters did throughout history!

Lothar Abend is a good example of a German fighter who broke the mold and did travel outside the confines of Germany and his career record suffered tremendously because he stepped up and fought some of the better fighters from other countries! I’m not saying this because I am racist, or because I don’t like German boxers, because I respect all boxers from every part of the world, but throughout history German- and German based fighters have very rarely ever strayed away from Germany to fight, except when they were challenging for a title of some sort!

With a few very rare exceptions most German fighters that have sterling looking career records only do so because, like I stated earlier, they rarely fought outside of their country and when they did, they more times than not lost!

No doubt there were some bad decisions against German fighters throughout history, but for the most part they were just not on the same level as the top fighters from other parts of the world as their records show, which is especially true against American boxers, which I say not because I’m American, but because it is the truth. It’s not my belief that every American fighter is superior, as there are a slew of American boxers that couldn’t punch their way out of a paper bag, but as the records show, America has been the most successful in boxing!

Ottke didn't fight no where near the competition that your namesake, Gustav Scholz faced and Scholz is no where near the HOF, so why should Ottke be any different, because he had a bogus belt?

I don't think you understand what the hall of fame is for Bubi. One of the major criteria is that a fighter makes an impact, and outside of Germany, and eastern Europe, Ottke just isn't respected by anyone. He is viewed rightly in my opinion as a guy who profitted from hometown decisions to enable him to have such a long reign. About a third of his defences were controversial, even his first win against Brewer for the title was controversial. He has barely squeaked a decision in too many fights, and too much dubious scoring for him not to be viewed that way.

I said if Johnson has three SIGNIFICANT wins, for instance, if he beat everyone at LH, then went down and beat Calzaghe and Lacy, then MAYBE he might have a chance. It would be very hard for him to make it though.

You notice that I have said the same about Calzaghe, so there's no bias involved, I just don't rate champs who never fight away from home, (different in America as every state is virtually a different country) and who have dodgy decisions and poor opposition.

There's a big difference in being ranked #1 and being a hall of famer! There have been over 1000 fighters throught history that have been ranked #1, but only about 10% make the Hall, if it's even that high of a number!

I'm aware of that, yes many rated him at #1, some had calzaghe at #1, but it was a weak ununified division, and nobody really deserves hall of fame recognition in my opinion from that era.

I agree and even tried to stop until bubi said in another different thread that I was saying racist things, which is total bullshit, and of course that was before he spewed out about the Latino community, which is untolarable no matter what group of people a person attacks! As you can see I a lot of the posts I try to focus on things related to boxing, but bubi is so repetative in everything he says and is such a complete idiot that it is hard for me to act my age!

i love the USA and have a lot of friends over there, not only with german heritage, some are native americans e.g., even relatives. all people i met were very kind, friendly and have a great hospitality.
