all-american
all-american
i know for sports there is the term used all-american. i have never heard this term used for boxing though. why is that?
Re: all-american
USA Boxing did use the term All-American in the 80's and 90's. We are so far removed from what we should really be about... but I will go no further as I will be receiving e-mails and calls stating that I am a hater. I only want the US to be the best and it is possible.
Re: all-american
do you remember what you had to do to become an all-american
Re: all-american
I really do not know but we received a patch and a letter stating that we were Al American. I think that you had to be rated in the top three for the entire year. Back then the ranking were quarterly utilizing the US Nationals, US Sports Festival, Golden Gloves and I can't remember a forth tournament.
Re: all-american

I don't EVER remember the word, ALL AMERICAN being used in the 90's.
Re: all-american
In 1990 it was the top 3. I have it posted in my pics on my facebook page. I could not find out how to post it here. I have a lot of pics that you may have to scroll through.
