You guys are crazy, the ones of you calling Hagler better than Whitaker.

As for the pound-for-pound debate on Leonard & Whitaker & who was greater, I'm an established Whitaker fan, but let's not have any of this, "either one was easily better," please. It's completely an open-ended debate between who's better from Whitaker or Leonard.

I would say Leonard did a better job of mining his personal gold mine of skill than Pernell did. And that's a shame. But who was more naturally gifted? I go with Pernell.

...when joe louis was asked if he was avoiding fighting southpaws, in that wonderful succinct way he had of answering said, "I been knocking guys over one after the other who been doing it right so why should i be afraid of a guy who gets it all backwards."rhetorical question.

for me that dismisses all further comment on the subject.

I like Flowers..perhaps he can be boosted up.

On the Leonard/Whittaker side debate... I'd have to go with Leonard. They're both greats though.
