Johnny Nelson fight off again!!

Post by KOJOE90 »

Sheffields WBO cruiserweight Champion Johnny Nelson's title defence against Vincenzo Cantatore has been postponed for a second time.

Nelson is now hoping to set up a fight with Enzo.

Yes, picked up my local paper and read this, which is surprising as they are usually a bit behind. The Italian, according to the paper, wants 50 days because of the political situation in Italy.

If we had to wait for that to settle down, no one would ever fight there again!

Yeah this whole episode with the Italian sounds like a none starter, Nelson aint getting any younger (surely he is nearly 40?) so get in there with Macarinelli and let's see what he's got.

It would be nice to think that Johnny Nelson V Enzo Maccarinelli would appear on thr Hatton Vs Tszyu undercard.

What's the deal with Cantatore? He postponed his rematch for the title with Braithwaite so long they called it off. Now he is doing it with Nelson after not fighting for almost a year. Does he not want to fight or are his promoters that bad?

It is the promotor that postpones the fights it has happened with alot, if not mosts, of their title fights.

This happens again and again with Spanish and Italian promoters, Sanavia pulled the same trick three times with Eastman, or rather his promoters.

If a promoter keeps pulling their figthers out, they should be penalised by removing their fighters from the rankings, it's the only way to deal with it.
