Price landed a very soft left hook on the guys glove and he fell to the floor. It didnt even touch his head. He got up, then got blew out by a body shot.
When are these promoters going to bring someone slightly tougher to the table?
Grainger was a Cruiserweight who usually boxes at around 14,1/2 stone. He put on a stone in weight to fight Price who was still around 3 stone heavier. I don't really think he is the worst boxer you have seen, at Cruiser he stopped Hastings Rasani in the 1st round, this is something that only Bellew, Haye n Macaranelli have managed so shows something. His fight before Price he boxed Jon Lewis Dickinson who is a good prospect, he got beaten on points but was very flat in that fight and was not disgraced.Jab and Move wrote:I am officialy announcing that David Price's last opponet was the worst boxer I have ever seen. Another opponent brought in by Maloney proves no test whatsoever.

Slight exageration eh?! I think the above quote would apply to the Latvian Lemmings alright.Jab and Move wrote:I am officialy announcing that David Price's last opponet was the worst boxer I have ever seen.

The punch did land, it clipped the back of his head. If you have ever boxed before, you will know that getting hit on the back head sends you into a daze, especially when they are 3 stone heavier.Jab and Move wrote:No, its not disrespectful. If you watch the hook to the head that floored hin, it didnt even land. It scraped his glove and he looked like he'd been hit by a fork lift. Still, like I say, I blame Maloney.
Anyone who calls anyone the worst opponent ever has obviously never boxed. How can you criticise someone for getting blown away by a 6ft8 Olympian who outweighs them by 3stone?bombhead wrote:The punch did land, it clipped the back of his head. I have been in and around boxing for many many years and I will say that Baloney's last few opponents have been Diabolical and an insult not only to his fighters but the paying public and Sky. The OP can say the guy was the worst opponent HE has ever seen if it is true. He is not saying anything disrespectful just his opinion. My opinion is that Baloney should be made to reimberse all paying public for his last 2 Shows.demolitiondaley wrote:Anyone who calls anyone the worst opponent ever has obviously never boxed. I was ringside for the fight, i have also had around 85 fights over a 16 year period so i think i'm qualified to have an opinion on the matter.Jab and Move wrote:Like I keep saying, go and watch the fight. Furthermore, Daley is a current pro with 23 fights.bombhead wrote:I was ringside for the fight, i have also had around 85 fights over a 16 year period so i think i'm qualified to have an opinion on the matter.Jab and Move wrote:Like I keep saying, go and watch the fight. Jab and Move, maybe you need to give both their opinions greater weight![]()
However, you are fully entitled to your opinion as Taffytoon said.
That is a more sensible post than how you started this thread. "Officially the worst boxer ever" is what you said. Grid is a good boxer, he was just hugely out gunned. I talked to him after the fight and he said the first shot clipped the top of his head. I think he just got caught funny. It happens when you get clipped sometimes. At least he had the balls to get in thereJab and Move wrote:If you believe matchups such as that one are acceptable, fair enough. But, in my opinion, it is unintresting and 100% unbeneficial to both fighters career, completly pointless fight, as many Maloney fights seem to be.
It's a fact that Grid boxed Price because they could not find a British heavy to share the ring with him!terrdilk wrote:I boxed the lad pricey boxed In The ammatures at heavy an he's a tough kid. Pricey just had too much for him but you've got to give him some credit for having the balls to give away three stone and about half a foot in height away! Pricey can only beat who he shares the squared circle with an let's be honest if they ave had to get a crusierweight in looks like the heavy are not interested in which again I think grid deserves a pat on the bk for takeing the fight.
