They guy he is fighting was knocked out in 2 rounds by Cello Renda not too long ago. Renda has just lost two on the spin to Paul Samuels, one by KO. Samuels was taken out in 1 round by George Groves.

What does this prove?? Nothing :DDD

However, to make out that this is a MAJOR test is plain nonsense. I expect DeGale will end this fairly comfortably in the first few rounds.
It's just a shame the offer Groves made to DeGale was 'insulting'.

I would love for Groves and DeGale to meet and Groves knock him out! :TU:

You didn't and I never said you did.

This is a decent opponent at this stage in his career. If you don't expect more then why do you mock it?

Once again, where did I mock anything? I was praising the bout.

The mention of Horton's low KO rate and the use of the " " emoticon suggest that you were being sarcastic and therefore mocking the contest.

If I am wrong I most sincerely apologize. :-?

Now, here is a point- with it being an international contest, will there be an international referee?

Paul Smith picked up one of these international belts , winning in the second round, and it was an international ref. He kept the fight going too long.

I think it's a good match up, Degales only on his 7th fight so I do think it's a step up for Degale as at least Horton has a winning record.

Horton did lose to Renda but neither is Renda a bad fighter (ok he did lose twice to Samuels) but they were 2 classic humdingers and basically if most people were to get hit by Renda clean then they would struggle to stay on their feet so Horton's KO to him is no disgrace. Saying that though Degale should win with ease by stoppage.

three defences of a inter tatty title will ensure a higher ranking than a few brit title defences .why? the sanctioning fees will ensure that .
