i would venture to suggest Small is about a TENTH as good as he thinks he is..................and I was still taken in again

i have not got around to watching his victory versus Hall yet, however he is putting up some real pants displays.

I don't think Small is really boxing it's almost a new martial art he's doing.

He may be able to thrill in bursts but Small won't scale any heights because he is so inconsistent, and indisciplined in my book.

I think he's pretty big at the weight, and with those long arms that's what's winning the fights. If he were a bit less lanky I reckon he'd have given it up long ago.

if small had boxed properly he would have won that, when he switched to the more orthodox style he was far more effective, but by then Webb was out to try and finish the fight early.

The one thing I hope we don't see next is Small challenging for Rhodes' European title.

It's now "not right" on so many levels.

Webb V Rhodes is credible.

tight one then.

looking around at the reaction and the majority had small edging a close one.

only a few have webb winning.

the british judges have been quite controversial so far this year.

small's blown it with that.

he reminds me of an ingle fighter does small.

the other guy has to take chances for that style to be effective.

e.g. hall fought an attacking fight and small picked him off. :KO:

play it cagey and his set up work is poor.

you can't just say that. Webb's beaten him twice and Small looked sh*t last time out.

This is no foregone conclusion at all. What this job requires is a touch of ability, a set of knackers, some confidence.......and a good start.

Webb has every chance.
see Spud listen when I'm trying to tell you mate, lol :TU:
you told him Small would win

SmAll needs a new trainer who makes him actually fight. Hattons must be struggling for headline fighters now.

I'm sure Small won't give up, but I was surprised by how fragile he looked at times. He also throws very slow looping power shots that can be read easily. Hopefully the experience will convince him to make a few changes.

I think Rhodes would brutalise Webb, harshly.

Whilst I completely agree with your point - Anthony Small will not listen - he is one of them characters as soon as you tell him something he doesnt want to hear he will be off to change trainers again.

Its more reading of people Ritchy i know you dont like bollox and bullshit and when its razor thin rounds id expect you to go substance over style.
Some people like the tip tap nicking of rounds using bluff and showmanship i guessed (correctly i may add lol) that you would not.So sorry no lottery predictions if i was that good i would not be a boxing promoter id be in the carribean.

Personnally, I was a bit surprised that it was considered that Webb only lost three rounds- it was very hard to make a case for him in the first three, for example (maybe call 3 a draw) - but assuming that the first 2 at least went to Small, that score suggests Webb totally domianted the fight after the first quarter.

But I agree- a tricky one to score.

Lets be honest, how can you train a fighter who does not know himself what he is going to do? He says he has game plans prior to fights but you only have to look at him and you can see he does not have a clue what he is going to do next.

Yep and when its a tricky one to score you have to go to other factors such as what certain refs and judges favour over others.Id probly have tipped Ian John Lewi to give the nod to webb as well but didnt know he was judging.
