Now I still think Small has alot going for him. However, it is clear he has some major self-doubt issues.

His body language stinks of "convincing himself". His relaxed personna is clearly not geniune, you can see that. Might sound a bit daft but his smile is forced, he is not enjoying himself like he potrays.

Well, thats probably true- such is often the case- the personna doesn't match the nature. And thats not just in boxing, of course.

however, all other issues aside, his boxing technique was limited last night, as was his technique against McDonagh.

Against Hall, he was a lot better, as Hall didn't vary his tactics, and was cut, and Small exploited that well.

Webb made a good decision- to really go for it despite (or because of) his cut, and that's where Small seemed to struggle.

Mick Williamson has earned his money the last few weeks with Smigga and Webb last night. Fair play to Webb, really upped his game after the cut and deserved the nod in my opinion. Small's unorthodox style really is an eyesore to watch at times.

People seem to be allowed to carry on just because Mick is in the corner at the moment. He is brilliant,i admit, but there shouldnt be one rule for one, etc. When Darren McDermott boxed Wayne Elcock,he was virtually crying in the post fight interview, saying "Jimmy Tibbs should have been allowed to work on it".Thoughts echoed by Dean Powell
It pisses you off at times, everyone should be judged on how it looks at that time

True and that is why he is one of the best (if not the best) cutmen around because he has the respect and trust of ringside doctors. In fairness, Webb's cut wasn't that bad to call a instant stoppage to the fight, it looked more or less the same in the 6th as it did in the 12th. Williamson did the work and Webb protected it very well with his right hand in the second half of the fight. Even O'Connor stopped having close looks at it as the fight went on.

By the way, that rule where the headbutt victim loses the fight if it is stopped is a joke. Should be sent to the cards for a techincal decision.
