Abraham vs Dirrell predictions.

Post by stujones »

Such an intriguing fight this. Abraham has a great defence in the traditional sense, not the quickest on his feet but has quick hands and good power. A very solid fighter.

Dirrell on the other hand, probably has a big edge in footwork, a slight edge in handspeed. What he does appear to lack is bottle. However, I have to say if it is a replica of the Froch vs Dirrell fight then I think Dirrell will get the decision.

Abraham seems to be a good traveller though, so I anticipate him to up his game and force Dirrell to be even more negative and win a decision.

Really intriguing fight, one of the ones I am most looking forward to in the super six.

Abraham will do what he normally does, suss him out for a few rounds, and then bash the fornicate out of him. Either beaten up badly on a points decision, or a knock out.

Aurhter, for me, is one of the top fighters in the world and clear favourite for this tourney.

Graham Houston has gone for Dirrell. I can really see why, Abraham was at his very best against Taylor, but even in this fight, there were large spells in which Abraham was being peppered by a jab.... yep, he was always "in control" - but Dirrell is alot more elusive and quicker than Taylor, IMO.

Abraham was peppered by a non-scoring jab!

He does the same thing every fight, spends a few rounds warming up before unleashing the bombs. Even more so as he's stronger at this weight.

Yep true, but it might not be the best approach this time. He cannot give rounds away cause Dirrell is fresher and more elusive than Taylor. Seems like he doesn't have the stamina issues that Taylor has also.

Abraham points for me. We all know of King Arthur's power but he had to work hard against Jermain Taylor and he's only just stepped up from being the middleweight king.

I expect Dirrell to do a bit more running again tonight but I think the kid has skills and he is at home and should be elusive. But Abraham is powerful and he should be able to walk him down, but it wont be easy for him.

Really? You think they would job Dirrell in his hometown after what happened in Nottingham? Considering they tried to pass off three judges from Michigan I am thinking the opposite.

Disappointing ending. I think Froch is going to get hurt badly against AA. No defense brawlers will never beat him it's the slicksters like Dirrell who will cause the problems.

Dirrell will easily outscore Abraham, only to slip and be knocked clean out in the 10th. The KO blow will be deemed dirty as Dirrell is down, and Abraham will be rightly disqualified.

Yeah, Dirrell is a great actor

The guy didn't know where he was for minutes after the fight, the doctor was still very concerned at the end of the showtime feed and so was Jim Gray, usually not the most sensitive of reporters but you could see he knew Dirrell was out of it.

Great win for him, but I do fear he might even be out of the tournament now - or certainly not the same fighter. That was alarming.

Abraham should be given the benifit of the doubt, it was an illegal blow and the DQ was correct, but it was not as bad as many are making out to be.

Dirrell on the other hand, what a pussy.
