Did haye prove anything
Mark Hobson is a good domestic level fighter and a match with Haye or Enxo would be interesting. However I was not too impressed with Hobsons last fight against the tough but faded Bruce Scott. I think I said at the time that I felt that if Scott had been five years younger he would have beaten Hobson.
Brudov seems to have fought a lot of fighters with records of 0-0-0 which I assumed was down to them not being entered but I may have been wrong.Freiheit wrote:On the radio broadcst Nelson called him a "4 round king" and 4 round kings dont win championships. Ididnt sound at all that Nelson is impressed with Haye.
Brudovs record on boxrec is complete.
The 4 round thing is very true I would like to see him extended don't know who I think is around their to do that though. HObson would be an interesting fight do people think it could be made.
Oh that way, yeah there is probably lots on unknown russians that needs to get their record updated, but it is a nightmare to get verified records from alot of east european countries.josh fg wrote:Brudov seems to have fought a lot of fighters with records of 0-0-0 which I assumed was down to them not being entered but I may have been wrong.Freiheit wrote:On the radio broadcst Nelson called him a "4 round king" and 4 round kings dont win championships. Yeh my bad should have been more clear on that one. I just assume he wouldn't have got that Europian ranking having beaten so much canon fodderFreiheit wrote:Oh that way, yeah there is probably lots on unknown russians that needs to get their record updated, but it is a nightmare to get verified records from alot of east european countries.josh fg wrote:Brudov seems to have fought a lot of fighters with records of 0-0-0 which I assumed was down to them not being entered but I may have been wrong.Freiheit wrote:On the radio broadcst Nelson called him a "4 round king" and 4 round kings dont win championships. Cheap way to a vacation in Europe? I also think its the promotor that pays travel costs.Riddick Blowe wrote:anyone know why kelly travelled half way around the world for no title against a fearsome puncher? He surely can't have made much? Or maybe he made more than in australia even with the cost of the flight, who knows.

He would have got decent money against Haye (£10k i reckon) and as Freheit suggests the promoter should pay the flight. He also may have fancied his chances and a win against Haye could open doors at the end of a long career.....
Oz boxing pays poor money generally, less than the Brit scene. (of course cost of living is cheaper over there) and with this being a televised show on the Beeb you would expect a bit of cash to be available
