Andre Dirrell = Audley Harrison mk2.
got all the tools....looks very good when he wants to.
...but has the heart of a dead sheep.
i've no beef with Dirrell but that performance on saturday in rd 11 was pathetic and embarrasing....how anyone can say he did anything other than take the easy way out god only knows....
yeah AA shoulda been dq'd but Dirrell looked for it and pretended to be hurt when he could clearly carry on...
an embarrasment to boxing and a humiliation for himself....he should retire now because he simply does not like getting hit nor have the minerals to be a fighter as opposed to a boxer.

There are enough threads about this already.
If you can offer any decent proof that he was "diving" other than "thats how it looked on the telly" then go ahead... otherwise, stop posting this crap.
He was boxing brilliantly in that fight.

never said he didnt fight 'brilliantly'....i said he took the easy option.
he's a total embarrasment to the sport....first his cowardly performance against froch - running away, holding and 'slipping' over then this humiliating end after a decent (not brilliant...calm down) showing against AA he gasses out and takes the easy option.....the heart of a dead sheep and thats a fact.
any decent proof that he was "diving" then go ahead
control freaks on forums make me laugh...'I DONT WANT TO HEAR IT'otherwise, stop posting this crap.
stop crying like your man dirrell and grow some balls.

what do you mean mickey, as if it takes balls to go in the ring with someone like Abraham who can smash your face in.... oh, wait....mickey1975 wrote:He had just boxed the ears off a genuine world class fighter for 10 rounds, was twatted when down, all six months after doing exactly the same and getting robbed? And has he got the minerals?Learn the sport mate...
Re: Andre Dirrell = Audley Harrison mk2.
I agree Dekker, the guy is a joker.

Re: Andre Dirrell = Audley Harrison mk2.
i'll never forgive him for the froch fight. it was a joke, the way he kept diving to the canvas, holding, running.
the guy boxed out of his skin for 7 or 8 rds v abraham. that can take a lot out of you physically and mentally. the late rds saw him going downhill with abraham coming on well. in round 10 you saw what confidence he had left draining out of him, and i think abraham was going to land something big. in the tenth, abraham was lining him up with right hands, one of which floored dirrell, and it was reminding me of toney vs nunn or ottke vs mundine. the way he'd left it late, but was getting ominously closer.
abraham was in the wrong but it's not on that dirrell conveniently falls over every time his opponent has cut him off. he either hugs, or falls over. it's becoming a pattern and ppl can see it. it's fvcking out of order in fact and he'd done it in the previous round as well.
dirrell will have something wrong with him every time. he doesn't have half the heart or purpose or determination as fellow american speedster andre ward.

the difference between ward and dirrell is vast....ward looks, sounds and acts like a fighter....dirrell looked shit scared in the build up to the froch fight....Autobarn wrote:i'll never forgive him for the froch fight. it was a joke, the way he kept diving to the canvas, holding, running.

and as soon as his face was in danger of being smashed he stared runnin, 'slippin' and sittin down.
Re: Andre Dirrell = Audley Harrison mk2.
hmmm...getting knocked down twice isnt exactly boxing the ears off anybody...but credit where it's due up til the tenth he was doin a number on AA...mickey1975 wrote:He had just boxed the ears off a genuine world class fighter for 10 rounds, was twatted when down, all six months after doing exactly the same and getting robbed? And has he got the minerals?Learn the sport mate...

Yeah Olympic bronze medallist who nearly beat Carl Froch and Arthur Abraham by outboxing both of them... what a coward.
Re: Andre Dirrell = Audley Harrison mk2.
bet dirrell has some kind of meltdown every fight. this won't be the first drama or controversy.
kind of glad that abraham had a nasty away date. every top fighter should have one. take nmote, andre ward (who apparently won't have to fight away at all in the super 6)...

Re: Andre Dirrell = Audley Harrison mk2.
I'll admit he's not the most exciting fighter to watch but he's stepped up his level of opposition massively in his last two fights for a guy who'd had about 18 pro fights. He's boxed undefeated Froch in his own backyard and then taken on and for best part of 11 rounds outboxed an excellent fighter in Abraham. He's not pretty to watch but bet Froch and Abraham will say he's been their most difficult opponent yet.
And Ward having home advantage everytime sucks to be honest.

Notice how virtually no-one in the boxing world, other than a stunned post-fight Abraham and people on a message baord, has made these claims?DEKKER87 wrote:have you actually seen it?
With no disrespect, people wiser than us will have seen that footage- if anyone with any medical, technical or practical experience of the fight game felt that Dirrell was "faking it", I'm sure SOMEONE would have said so.
Re: Andre Dirrell = Audley Harrison mk2.
Coming on well? So well that he was back to getting out boxed in the eleventh? Convenient for AA fans and Dirrell detractors to use the "coming on strong" excuse, but Dirrell had recovered and was back to piling up the points in the eleventh. If AA was going to land something big as you say, I don't know what he was waiting for. He had a round and a half left and was back to doing nothing productive after his brief success in the tenth. Not sure why people are so confident he would just knock Dirrell out in the dying stages.Autobarn wrote: the late rds saw him going downhill with abraham coming on well. in round 10 you saw what confidence he had left draining out of him, and i think abraham was going to land something big. in the tenth, abraham was lining him up with right hands, one of which floored dirrell, and it was reminding me of toney vs nunn or ottke vs mundine. the way he'd left it late, but was getting ominously closer.

Re: Andre Dirrell = Audley Harrison mk2.
Whats the problem with going on the back foot and boxing someones ears off? it's a blxxdy hard skill to master! what do people expect Dirrell to stand in the middle of the ring and have a shoot out with a couple of tough nuts like Froch and Abraham?!....
