How close was Haye to crumbling against Frogemeni ?

Post by FLINT ISLAND »

I thought Haye was on queer street a couple of times at least.

I thought he was in a real tough battle.

I thought he was in a real desperate struggle.

In fact I think - in the 9th round - Haye summoned up all the reserves of his strengths he had left and just pulled it out with a stoppage.

If he hadnt got Forgemeni out of there in that final burst - he had nothing left to give.

Lucky Frogemeni was a light puncher - otherwise it was curtains to Haye for sure.

I think he was in complete control!! He destroyed Fragomeni!! He was hurt against Mormeck but that's a different fight altogether!! I also feel his resistance wasn't there at cruiser while I feel at heavyweight he has decent punch resistance although in this division it can all end from any half decent shot landed!! I just hope David is well prepared but knowing him he will be!! Im one of the guys biggest fans and I just hope he continues to dominate in fights!!

Long LIVE the David "Hayemaker" Haye ERA!! British Boxing needs David and needs him badly!! Let's all get behind him guys!! :TU: :TU: :box: :TU: :TU:

Its worth noting Frogemeni did beat Haye in the amateurs.

So Haye has in 2 fights had proper difficulties with the Italian.

I think with Forgemeni it was more the style.

Haye says that he struggles with short squat types - as he is always punching down.

As much as I understand why Haye is a such popular fighter - I feel people are blind if they cant see that he was struggling with Frogemeni.

Struggling is probably the wrong word but it was a tough fight. You tend to get them en route to World titles, in most cases anyway.

He got jobbed against Fragomeni in the am's, Look at it and you can see it on you tube!!

David did get dropped against Lonlega Mock BUT was never gone as people are stating..

I agree he looks bulcky at the min BUT wait till you see him on the scales and you'll see 1 of the best athletes this country has ever seen!! The guy is phenomonal!!

The Fragomeni fight was TOUGH yes BUT he was in control and you could visibly see him breaking Fragomeni up, He also boxed the guy to a game plan!! As he did with Mormeck too, The most I've seen him hurt was against Mormeck or Solis and I've seen everyone of his pro fights. I'll stand by mt statements that David Haye is the savious of british boxing and we all need to be backing this man with our support instead of looking for ways to bring him down.. :shame:

He's a remarkable fighter and also a fantastic athlete!! Common guys get behind him!! :TU:

Middleweight
Light Heavyweight
Crusierweight

They dominated their sport - cos they were both exceptional - Jones even more so.
