Hayemaker Boxing have played a masterstroke in releasing a press release concerning Paul Smith.

Why??

Its got the scousers biting for their man - its got others saying Groves is being disrespectful - its got others discussing the possible outcome of a possible fight.

It hypes up the fight - it sells tickets.

Good press release as its got this thread going!!! :TU:

I am going forwards, not looking over my shoulder. :TU:

PS. Carl Dilks.... Haven't you got a fight Saturday? Maybe you should get some sleep instead of looking past Saturday's opponent AND Groves, to me and my title??? :TU:

Great stuff....

Super middle is proving to be a great division for British boxing with Carl Froch in the super six and hopefully you, Groves and Degale fighting each other in the next year or two.

Just wait till George Groves gets hit back! Just like when he was bullying people as a mature schoolboy, moved up to junior then suddenly meets Travis Dickinson, someone else mature who takes what he has and hits him back....TIMBERRR...Georgie is flopped

Amateurs this and that ....

If the amateurs was the only pre requisite to success then there wouldnt be a lot of professionals who would do any good would there - sometimes the step into the professional ranks sometimes suits a boxers style etc etc

Besides if you are right and the amateurs is the way forward - James Degale won the Olympic gold - are you stating he is the man??

There again George Groves must be because he beat Degale!!!! :o :o :o

Clutching at straws I am afraid with this amateur thing - let them prove themselves in the professional ranks - I think so far Groves has done very well. :TU:

I'm sorry but i agree with Groves!

Anyone who thinks Paul Smith has looked a world beater in his last 2 fights is either a f*cking liar or family!

I like Paul as a person, he comes across really well (apart from his accent), but he has lost my attention, has loads of skills and ability but is so f*cking boring to watch! Holding constantly with the odd shot, a la come dancing!

Its 7/1 for Adamu to win by Decision/Technical Decision, would have been great odd's for Groves.

Charles Adamu - KO or TKO or Disqualification 11/2
Charles Adamu - Decision or Technical Decision 7/1
George Groves - KO or TKO or Disqualification 5/4
George Groves - Decision or Technical Decision 6/4
Draw or Technical Draw 28/1

When Paul got cut in his last fight & after the Doc looked at it,Paul camed out firing to force the stoppage, thats the Paul Smith i like, thats the Paul Smith that beats Groves.

I watch Groves spar Froch the other week.

Quietly spoken guy, not 'in your face' and he fought very well. Has some tidy skills that are well suited to the pro game.

Right now the bookies would prob favour Smith's experience but Groves is really decent - who knows in 18 months if both men continue to grow and improve with age?

Smith's heart was in no doubt the other week. He fought through some bad cuts and was impressed by that hardiness.

Groves is getting the ball rolling by saying this, it's a natural fight for both guys if Groves is on a fast track. Then again Smith might want press on for that WBO shot or European title.

Mate have you seen his last two fights? He got cut in the first round in one of them and in the quigley fight, he got cut again. Both cuts were awful and when something like that happens, then it is bound to mess with your game plan and lets not forget. It was quigley and dodson who had points took away for holding not smigga

There is needle with Degale yes, but now he slags Paul? He thinks he is world class and is in for a big shock! He gets his WAY TOO EASY!!! Go away and learn some defence rather than trying to mold yourself on David Haye.....you arent him!!! :witzend: Remember bein in Poland with Groves a few years back when he had a war with some polish bum who Degale outclassed a few weeks earlier...came home with a broken jaw! Soon as someone takes what he gives he will come unstuck, cant wait!
swifty have you actually fought anybody decent? fighting bums you should have fought on debut in your last fight. groves has WAY more talent then you in my opinion, stop getting all emotional because groves said he would ko your brother, i think he would to be honest paul has looked poor in both his last 2 fights..somebody would have asked him wether he thinks he can beat paul smith and groves would have said yeh i'd knock him out.. nothing wrong with that.

True. But too many boxers in the UK try and mould themselves into Ricky Hatton's personality of the smiling man that never says a bad word about anyone. Guys like Groves spice things up, plus he has the talent to walk the walk.
