Ruiz's age/decline is an unknown factor but he'll have trained hard and he is no mug. If Haye KOs him in the first 6 I'd be impressed. I would think a points win is more likely than a stoppage.

Haye to win KO5.
Ruiz will need oxygen to recover and when he can speak again he will announce his retirement.

I agree, any genuine stoppage would be massively impressive.

Ruiz is 38 years old with 8 losses, more losses than wins since 2005, KO ratio 55 %... don't see how much anticipated Hays's win could be "massively impressive" ...

He's been stopped once in 54 fights.

According to my 'scientific calculations' that is just 1.85% of his fights having ended in a KO loss. What percentile chance of stoppage do you theowise Gweg!?

Still "MASSIVELY impressive " is MASSIVELY exaggerated... As you get older..the chances of being KOed are much higher according to common sense...

Right then. I'll bear that in mind in the future, thanks. I had no idea that common sense was the reason behind those stoppages.

And I do think your comments are "ridicolous", you go on all the time about how fast Haye is, how technically proficient he is, and now you think he hits harder than Tua and is recognized as the hardest puncher in the world. If he possess all these attributes like you say he does, than he would be the perfect fighter and would not have just squeaked by the slow and plodding Valuev, or hit the canvas against Barrett, or gone through any of the struggles he has previously. If Haye is that good and punches harder than Tua, why would it take him five or six rounds to stop a fighter as limited as Ruiz?

I think your full of shitt when it comes to Haye and you do a poor job of making your points.
Im pretty sure haye is widely considered the hardest puncher in the world (87.5% ko ratio), he's also considered by almost all to be the fastest heavyweight. i was taking the piss because of your spelling of "ridicolous" you were just too dim to notice. Now to become an undisputed world cruiser weight champion and a heavyweight world champion haye has managed to do that being a weak puncher, slow, and technically inept in your opinion.

In my personal opinion the only defect haye has is his chin and thats also what makes him exciting to watch. He squeeked past valuev fighting with a broken hand, nearly knocked him out with his left and is only the second man in valuevs 50 fight career to beat him im not to sure what you expected from him.

And as to your question about why i think it would take haye 5 or 6 rounds to take out ruiz, when it took tua 1 - the answer is because tua got lucky, maybe you should watch the fight! the odds of haye knocking ruiz out in the first are crap from the bookies because theres a very good chance it will happen and they dont want to loose their money (note the predictions from posters above).
No, Haye is not widely considered to be the hardest puncher in the world, in fact you are one of the only people I have heard say that. He has certainly not proven his power at heavyweight and did not come close to knocking out Valuev. In fact Ruiz came closer to flooring the giant in their rematch than Haye did. BTW you know that Edwin Valero has a 100% KO rate?

Can you tell me where I suggest that Haye is a weak and slow puncher? Haye is a gifted fighter with speed and power, but to suggest he hits harder than Lennox Lewis or David Tua as you have is beyond nuthuggery. If Haye was really all the things you say he is he would have stopped all his opponents in three rounds or less and not have struggled with so many of them like he has.

I expected Haye to beat Valuev impressively, which he did not. Sure only one other opponent had officially beat him, but the case can be made that Holyfield, Donald, and Ruiz, did enough to defeat him like Chagaev and these are hardly great names. Surely the a great technical boxer who hits harder than anyone on the planet, and has lightening fast hand speed would not struggle so greatly with an unskilled light hitter like Valuev.

I'm not trying to suggest Haye is a bad fighter, because he is not. He is a very talented man who I think will clearly defeat Ruiz, but he is not a great fighter and no way does he hit harder than Tua, which was the only point I was originally trying to debate.

BTW, you don't usually get after someone for misspelling when you can't even use grammar or punctuation properly.
Well i thought since you like to mention my syntax regularly i would point out you cant spell, and not even that you were too stupid to know what i was on about when i pointed it out.

Im the only person you've heard say that Haye is currently the hardest hitter in the world? well i think that says just about every now lol I can guarantee if i start a poll on here i wont be the only person who rates haye as currently being the hardest hitter in the world.

Of course there will still be people like yourself who forget Tua isnt in his 20s anymore.

Im pretty sure haye did come close to knocking down valuev - maybe you should watch the last round again.

I'm taking Haye to destroy the over the hill Ruiz within 5 rounds. a points win for Haye would be a disappointing show for me. I'm expecting fireworks, speed and power from Haye. If Roy Jones could school and hurt a younger Ruiz, then Haye with his self proclaimed "Amazing speed and power" should be standing him on his head.

David Haye is not the "biggest puncher in the world". Our lad kingfinn does get a touch carried away sometimes.

If Haye gets rid of him before nine, I'll be chuffed. I have a bad feeling though (hopefully it's just those fajitas I ate)...

Terrible feeling about this one guys... Ruiz will come out quick as usual and try and nail Haye. If he lands with anything in those first few rounds without feeling some heat in return it could be curtains. im putting a little on ruiz ko 1 or 2 but i seriously hope it doesnt happen

Ruiz is a 12 round fighter, this is a legitimate heavyweight threat and probably the best fighter Haye has fought up till now. Sure Ruiz hasn't got a winning record but put your money on him being there at the final bell - 115-112 Haye but would not be suprised in the slightest if Haye was stopped on his feet in the later rounds.

Judging Haye on only his heavyweight fights. And the fact he doesn`t look in too good condition in the pix I`ve seen of him(especially the one on the front of BN - where he looks to have developed moobs)

I think if Ruiz is on top of his game - Ruiz TKOs Haye 9th-10th rnd .. brave prediction eh :TU:

You have to say Haye, it's a disaster if he doesn't, and let's hope he keeps his chin dry and pulls out a dynamite win. But I think Ruiz has a real chance, unless he's got old overnight, always a possibility. But I reckon he knocks Haye over, but really hope Haye comes back and gets the big win.
But have just put 10 each round 1 & 2, Ruiz........just because 80/1 is too tempting. But still hope DH does the business
