Geale eye's Macklin for possible Sydney showdown

I heard L/C talking about this a little while back, so i thought i would have a look at his website, it's possible that this is happening in June.

Good step in the right direction if your trying for world honors and recognition.

They have a common opponent in Ajetovic, and i would possibly consider a trip.

I'd love to see more Australians and Brits going at it.

Ajetovic has not fought since losing to Macklin. It was his third straight loss, starting with Geale.

Most of Macklin's fights have been in the UK or Ireland. Wonder if he would travel this far?

Obviously it would be PPV if it come off here. Geale could possibly get enough buys to be able to pay Macklin a decent fight fee.
Macklin ain't a champ or a household name, so imo it's possible for him to travel.
Also of note it said Geale was looking to fight in May as a tune up, maybe Geale fights on the Katsidis card in Englung.......maybe DD

Geale needs a big fight here or he himself needs to travel, in the interim i can't see why fights against some good Aussie prospects isn't an option, there's so many to choose from.

Dan will have lead up fight in April/may (TBA).

Dan McKinnon was keen for rematch but Geale's management not interested.

Mathew Macklin will happen prob in UK then target Sylvester.Winky Wright was first choice but now most likely Macklin.Geale will have min 5 fights in 2010.Im predicting he will do more this year then Mundine has acheived to date.I said this all along!

geale is one of our top fighters, be he is seriously wasting his time, he should have rode the momentum off the performance vs mundine, but instead he has fought once(against a scrub) and done nothing since. he needs to get a move on

i would like that but i doubt it will happen.
its halfway through april, he will fight 1-2 times this year at best

Which isn't enough!

Heres Geales accomplishments in the ring.

W UD Dawson( No one can even tell if Dawson is world class because his record is severly padded)
W UD Ajetovic( lost 2 more times after his loss to Geale and hasn't been seen since)
L SD Mundine( Contraversial for some)

Fighting 2 times ayear at this point in his career is just not enough, and he'll fall short when trying to get a belt if he doesn't rectify this. Those fights above are average tests and are in way a clear picture as to where he ranks(outside the top 10) in the Middle division .
Someone said he's ranked 5th by Boxrec(which is BS, Boxrec rankings are so far out of whack it's embarresing),there's fights here in Australia for him, but he doesn't pursue them.

His 29 has another 4 yrs years before he retires has 5 fights this year! perhaps another 15 in his career!

Macklin- Sylvester- Pavlik etc is what his aiming for,he wants top 10 fighters,his not a dodger like Mundine! If he gets oppotunity he will fight anyone!

i am macklins was macklins sparring partner 4 afew off his fights,macklin dosnt need gale hes close too a world title fight,and i think macklin would be far to much 4 him,only my opion tho :)
