Disgraceful. Hatton looked like a beached whale. You just know that the interviewer was about to take the piss out of Hatton at the end.REAL_DEAL wrote:i uploaded this video myself

video si of tszyu - hatton showtime video.
Hatton looks a little hung over.
Speaking of Hatton's drinking - did anybody else think Hatton was sounding a bit pissed when he was being interviewed prior to Williams thumping against Klitchsko.
Not saying he was wrong, because he just put in arguably his best performance, just something I noticed.

As Ricky nears his late twenties he might also find there is a time when the weight won't come off as easily as it used to. Could be this time, could be next year but surely it's a fact of growing older that weight gets harder to shift, especially if you're partial to a shandy or two.
And even if he manages it, it may leave him more drained than in previous fights. And in his hardest fight.

There are 3 fornicating MONTHS LEFT BEFORE FIGHT NIGHT!
Tszyu has barely started his training, and Hatton often looks much the same 7-8 weeks before a fight. He has 12 weeks left to get in shape, which is plenty of time.
12 weeks is ok to get in shape for overblown featherweights and old men , Too get ready for the hardest puncher the division has seen for years , 12 weeks is not long
Especially when you have to spend 6-8 of it getting weight of

what on earth are you talking about!? most fighters spend 6-8 weeks in training camp. 10 weeks is a long camp never mind 12 weeks. that's three whole months of training. admittedly 2-3 of that will be shedding weight, but that still leaves at least 6-8 weeks for proper training.coneye wrote:jamesmcdonnell wrote:You certainly are.

6-8 weeks is not much when you are fighting a better fighter who has trained for 11-12 weeks and didn't have to lose a massive amount of weight at the start of training.jamesmcdonnell wrote:what on earth are you talking about!? most fighters spend 6-8 weeks in training camp. 10 weeks is a long camp never mind 12 weeks. that's three whole months of training. admittedly 2-3 of that will be shedding weight, but that still leaves at least 6-8 weeks for proper training.coneye wrote:jamesmcdonnell wrote:You certainly are.

"Danny Williams... we all thought he could do it... but he just needed that 1 little punch... he did us proud tonight, he was always in it... he tried his best tonight and if anyone deserves it, its danny williams... he did us proud tonight and he'll come again... he just needed that 1 little shot"

I don't understand why his camp don't pay more attension to this between fights, he dose box professionaly when he isn't fighting it still seems to me to be part of his job to turn up to the gym 3 times a week to keep in passible condition and then hard training when you hit training camp. Its professionalism to me you should be in the right condition to do your job.

What i'M Talking about is time, time to get ready, Most fighters stay in the gym doing light work and staying in shape in between fights, Your off your head if you seriously suggest that most fighters and especially at that level only train for 6-8 weeks for a fight and only fight 3-4 times a year.
Most fighters at least the ones with good trainers fight , have a few weeks off and then come back and stay active and at work in the gym . . They then set about there serious work and there getting to a peaking stage 6-8 or 10 12 weeks before a fight. In case you did'nt know let me enlighten you the human body is only capable of reaching these peaks 3-4 times a year and you cannot keep reaching them when you abuse it.
Up till now Hatton has had to do no more than hit the bags both inside and outside the ring he has never been pushed back . Kosta will push him back and then we will see how fit Ricky is I can walk in the gym tonight ansd spar 10 hard rnd's with a beginer in fact probably more put me in with a seasoned fighter and it will quicly come down to 3-4 , and why cos i don't have to push myself
I have never heard before off a fighter taking time off and ballooning up like a facking gorrilla on pies and beer like Hatton does. He needs a kick up the arse and his trainer needs to get some balls and kick him up the arse.
Zoo himself goes up in weight but he keeps in reasonable shape , so when he does give himself the training camp its not to lose weight and then get fit its to sharpen up he's already fit when he goes there . otherwise how the facvk could he do what he does when he gets there .
Simple cos he goes on holidays relaxes puts on weight , comes home goes to his gym and commences light training and never loses the edge .
Porky Hatton goes on holidays and forgets to come off em . To be honest i don't blame him because he don't know any different its his trainer thats allowed him to do it.

I just think that if you are a proffesional athleat and you are payed to win in front of your fans then It shows a lack of profesionalism and a lack of respect for your fans and your sport if you don't work 50 out of the 52 weeks a year so that you can put on a good performance when the time comes.
THe are plenty of club fighters out their who would give anything to have the oppertunitys that Hatton has and for him to piss them up the wall is an insult to both his fans and them.
