The reason he keeps losing is because he is no longer fuelled by stimulants like Ephedrine, as it is now banned. All his super human performances in the 1990s were more likely down to him abusing these substances. He'll be remembered as a cheat and nothing more. He was a fraud all along.
I'd say thats a tad over-dramatized, he was an amazing fighter no-doubt, but these last few years have tainted the glory-years.
Any decent fighter would know to get out when up, that should have been after the Calzaghe fight in my opinion.
Its a shame, this is when you need good people not yes men around you. He has looked slow with no power for too many of his last fights for me..and in a way he is harming his legacy, why does he still do it..its got to the point i think thorpey could do him now

Since Ruiz hes gone 6-6 and pretty much destroyed his overall legacy, but in the 12 fights since Ruiz hes probably earned somewhere between 30-50 million.
U cant spend a Legacy and I guess thats Jones attitude.
I dont agree. There are many financial opportunities to be gleaned outside the ring from a 'legacy' created inside the ring. Muhammed Ali and George Foreman (to name but two) have amassed more money from their exploits out of the ring than they ever did inside it.
And lets be honest if Jones had retired after the Ruiz fight, he would have had 10s of millions in the bank. I dont think money was the sole factor in Jones fighting on, i think the over-riding factor is that he is trying to prove to himself that he still 'has it'.
ALi and Foreman both made comebacks for financial reasons.
But ultimately still made more money from their careers outside the ring than in it
I loved Jones in his prime but my opinions on him have been tainted quite a bit for a few reasons. First of all he's a proven drug cheat. Second, he avoided risk when he was in his prime but is happy to put himself at risk now he's shot. Third, he talks about his fights now being for 'the fans'. If he did what the fans wanted he would have retired years ago. Fourth, the abysmal excuses he is making for losing i.e. his Dad would have gotten the glory vs Tarver 3. The sooner he retires the better.
