Hopefully, the same as last time.

Then we can wave goodbye to that fraud with the tarnished gold medal.

dont care as long as both are prepared to fight.

its funny to think that when Audley had Sprott down in the first round previously , he was probably one fight away from a world title fight !

No, he wasn't. Remember around that time, virtually every domestic heavyweight fight was being trumpeted by a certain promoter as having a world title shot for the winner. None of them were official eliminators, and none of the winners did get a title shot. (I know Skelton did, but not as a direct result of any of those domestic wins)

Wow, I had totally forgotten Skelton fought Chagaev. But a quick look at his record and ti looks like his career is over and heading south.

Im rooting for Sprott but I see Harrison possibly a mid round corner retirement, I see Sprott coming forward and Harrison picking him off and moving or holding not letting Sprott get set or punching.

Whatever anybody thinks about Audley there is nothing tarnished about his Olympic Gold. Winning the Olympics is an outstanding achievement and is something that Ali, De La Hoya, Leonard and Foreman all rate at the very top of their achievements.

Audley had the PR skills...a first round Ko of sprott on the back of the three round Williams stoppage would have got him close to a title fight...definately

Gold medals at the Olympic Games are a heck of an achievement, there's no doubting that. Unfortunately Audley's pro career has significantly devalued his gold medal win of 2000. Unless he can perform a miraculous turnaround (i.e. engage Sprott and destroy him, take on Haye and war it out and stop him then blitz the Klitschkos into oblivion) I can't see him fulfill what was indeed a promising career back in early 2001.

I don`t think his gold medal is tarnnished in any way.

Amateur boxing, especially in recent years is a totally different game to pro boxing. It more like fencing than fighting. Audley knew how to work the amateur points system and fair play to him. Degale did much the same thing in Beijing.

Pro ranks is a different ball game, where scoring of individual points is not the main aim. In the pro ranks you try to win rounds, not points and this makes for a totally different kind of fight. Audley aint got the heart to get stuck in when he needs to. He is not a trench warrior, that`s for sure.

Yeah maybe. The fact that the talk of him getting a world shot if he beats Sprott THIS time shows you could be right!

I'd say harrison will beat him this time and inside the distance and in a sick kind of way would like him to win a world title then have a mega fight with Haye, yes he's a helmet but i find his comments funny and would pay to see him and haye get it on

Harrison late KO or points sadly. Sprott didn't seem that up for it in the press conference.

I hope he doesn't do, what he did against Skelton. He could have beat Skelton if he tried.

I agree with you to an extent,Audley mastered the computer system. But i dont think Degale thinks that way.Im sure he was advised on the best point scoring techniques, but he beat a decent Cuban in the final, and looks like he has a fighting mentality.Time will tell...

Agreed. I don't know what on earth was going through Sprott's mind that night.

As long as he doesnt get tagged again then Harrison to win.
He is the better boxer, though not the more popular.

The fact that Harrison and Sprott with their patchy records are even contesting for the European Heavyweight belt devalues the title in my eyes. I mean is there no one better on the Euro stage than these two?

TBH not really that bothered about who wins this as who ever does wont be holding onto it for long and they both only have another couple fights left in them.

But for a sporting prediction I go for Harrison by stoppage late rounds of the fight or clear points. Sprott hasn't been on form recently and since his KO of Harrison 3 years ago he has only beaten bums and been beaten by anyone of note that he's fought. Harrison if on form like in prizefighter and if he can bury his demons from their last showdown, will control the fight at range.

Sprott only stands a punchers chance.

Harrison's famous quote .............. "I'm almost there, i'm almost there" ............ But in a perverse way i can still see him ending up with a version of the title, don't know why just think it will end up that way!!!???!!!??

Oh and he beats Sprott with ease tonight :box:

Skelton got a fight with Oleg Maskaev off his win over Danny Williams, but Skelton & co opted out of the fight. Silly silly men.
