A place that hosts Liberal Party dinners sounds a bit la-de-da for me.

There is a reason for it, but can't tell you atm.
It might be revealed after the show. You might even guess during the show.

No can do, as I'll let the cat out of the bag. If you watch the show, you'll probably recall an instance a few years ago.

Terrible place to watch the fight unless your on corporate table close to ring. Ceiling is too low and chandeliers lights can be an obstruction. I guess star city cost too much or fighters cant attract bums on seats

The names "Elomar" and " Kickett" would not come into it, would they?

The Casino is just a place for drug dealers to pay their barristers in gambling chips so they can avoid tax anyway.

The 5t gang used to do it with the late Pat Costello.

Yeah, thanks brute for your insight, this level of sophistication certainly beats paying the solicitors in cash at their offices

Detectives I worked with spotted them doing it. Khan would give the chips to Pat, Pat would just take the chips to the cashier and cash them in. No tax on gaming winnings.

No tax on cash either, which is, effectively, how this barrister (and all of mine :P ) has been paid.
