I think after that, Green would KO old Bernard.

PS, fight was boring. Didnt expect anything other than that though.

And Jones had the temerity to suggest Green hit him in the back of the head? These are the two 'fighters' most put up on a pedestal. I've been saying for a very long time that they are good but very over rated.

I think Green would punch Hopkins into next week, I've said as much a month or two ago in another thread.
I agree with not expecting much more, the fight lived up to my expectations, I wouldn't have bought it or gone to a pub to watch it, but was great full for the live feed.
The way some people are carrying on in current scene, you'd think they where expecting two hungry up and coming middle weight tigers :-?

Yeah, after that, I don't want to see Green fight Bernard, as Im afraid 1) Bernard might get hurt, or 2) Bernard will fight a boring fight and just wrestle green all fight... no win situation for Green. I say green fights Dawson, the true legit light-heavy... will go down as being worth more to his legacy.

I put 20 on roy for points at 10-1, not surprised at the outcome but at those odds its worth a small flutter

Ohhhhhh my god was that boring, i went and had a feed and shower after round 9, i got sick of yelling at the computer for 9 rounds asking Roy to pull the trigger, i swear RJJ through more taunts than punch's.

Bernard seems much older now....he also is very very dirty leading in with his head with his little raids every minute and half.

Hasn't Dirrell opened a can of worms( Faking to be hurt), seems everyone is going to do it now!

ah yeah.... not a bad punt. I had a 50 on a multi at 4.50 x 6.00 on head to head and points decision. Good looking odds only that it didn't come through.... Haye maker and some horses came through so I don't feel so bad now

They both need to just fade away very very quietly........please :witzend:

This version of Hopkins was smart not to enter the ring with Green, because the same result as Jones would happen.

Anyone read the fight summary on Jones/Hopkins 2, it basically says that Green is a no one and derailed Jones/Hopkins rematch.

No one can take the fact that Roy was at least a top 5 Lt Heavy of Greeny, and Greeny smashed him.

Maaaaate, c'mon the fight lived up to all expectations for me. What did you expect from two over hyped, over the hill hand pickers like these?

Ive watched the fight a couple of times. I dont know why the guys on current scene are carrying on, it is like they expected to see a replay of their first fight. It went how I thought it would with some theatrics thrown in. I hope they both retire. They are legends and i wouldnt think neither needs the money. Funny how most are blaming Bhop for the style of fight sit was....Bhop dominated the fight. It was Jones inability to react to Bhops style that made that fight the way it was.. Great win for Bhop to go out on, and just another reminder to RJJ his days are over.

I think Roy's rabbit punches scrambled Bernard's brain. He is talking about fighting Haye now.
