Haye's reach is 78 not 73" it is listed on boxrec, and was listed in the tale of the tape for the fight too.rob12344 wrote:Wlad would obviously be the easier fight. haye knows this too, so don't expect him to be gunning for Vitali. Although, he also must know that beating Vitali is the only way to truly become the number one heavyweight in the world entirely.
As for the fight with Wlad, I think the Klitschko jab would be a huge problem for Haye. Haye has a good jab himself, but in a jabbing contest, he woun't be able to touch Wlad. And that Wladdy jab carries pop in it. It might actually be a power punch to Haye. Haye has a 73 inch reach. Wlad has an 81 inch reach. Wlad is 3 inches taller. The jab is going to be a huge problem for Haye and Wlad will be fighting cautiously too. And what do you think will happen if Wlad lands a solid right hand on Haye? One the lfip side, Haye is going to be fast and will be trying to land a big one on Wlad. I just don't see how he can get past the jab though. He is going to have to come out with all guns blazing and fire away and be very aggressive with the one twos. However, Wlad will expect this and might be thinking to himself, "I'll land my own right hand in the first round and keep him honest".
As for Vitali, there would genuinely be no way Haye would get past the jab and it would be a Herbie Hide performance.
I think Haye has genuine chances against anyone else in the division but his chin has a made in china label attached to it so there is always the danger that he could get bombed out.
Haye didnt show anything to worry the Klit Brothers

that is a ridiculous comparison as haye is lightning for a heavyweightrhino222 wrote:you are completely correct, and like yourself, im a big haye fan.tonyevs wrote:I really wanted to be impressed by Haye lastnight. Apart from that = Ruiz showed Haye is no-where near as fast as he thinks he is.
He run out of ideas - couldnt do much with Ruiz for much of the fight.
He couldnt land on Ruiz for much of the fight.
Carrys that left hand way too low - Ruiz actually clipped Haye in the early rounds (maybe 2nd) and he stumbled back and only the ropes kept him up.
He was blowing - his stamnia is poor.
Basically - Roy Jones clowned and schooled a prime Ruiz.
Haye was a bit struggling to master a old Ruiz.
I dont see how anyone can say that Haye was convincing enough to fancy him to beat any of the Kiltishcko brothers.![]()
The thing is. Ruiz was the perfect opponent for Haye to look good against. Ruiz walked in straight lines towards Haye with his hands quite low also..
Yes, Haye is a very good puncher![]()
But at heavyweight he is now a very much safety minded counter-puncher. He was able to get away with this so far because Valuev was slower than you could ever imagine .. and as said, Ruiz was just made for him![]()
I can understand some people claiming Haye would beat one or both of the K-Brothers .. thats just called blind patriotism.
Both K-Brothers would make haye come to them. They have the reach and jab to score enough if he tries to do the same tactics as he did against Valuev .. and if he tried to take it to any of them ... he gets mullered :(
and whoever said that the first right hand would have dropped wladimir for the count !!!! what a load of nonsense, its like saying the punch that wayne alexander KO'd takaloo with would have taken out marvin hagler !! .... its a ridiculous statement.
Re: Haye didnt show anything to worry the Klit Brothers
Haye would catch Wlad IMO - then it's night night.
Vitali is different. Haye would have to fight like he did against Valuev.
But such a much tougher assignment.
I would go with odds of 5/6 for Haye to beat Wlad but 7/4 for him to beat his brother.
