Pavlik vs Geale?

Post by mano loco »

Apparently talks are underway to match Tasmanian Daniel Geale with middleweight kingpin Kelly Pavlik after Geale's team couldn't come to terms with Kariz Kariuki.

Good test for both fighters if it comes off.

massive test for geale. would be great to see, but i'd like to see Geale have a fight or two more before Pavlik. Having said that, if the chance comes up then take it. He might not ever be in a position again to fight the best MW in the world.

Good fight for Geale if it could be made. I think that Pavlik would be favorite but you never know, a think a bit of gloss has been removed from Pavlik since he got his arse handed to him on a plate from Bhop.

Also it would annoy the hell out of 'IBO baby' if the fight is made so thats good with me.

Martinez could not beat Cintron or Williams in his last two fights yet you think he will beat Pavlik?

Interesting. 8)

Geale would be stopped by Pavlik, even if his fight with Martinez takes a little out of him. Macklin would have been a much more winnable fight.

yeah i wouldn't be planning my next fight with Geale especially when you have to face someone as dangerous as Sergio Martinez in acouple of weeks.

Plus i do not see this fight happening, why would you fight Geale if you are Pavlik

Who would know? Early this year there was talk of Macklin fighting Dmitry Pirog this month, but that seems to have fallen through as well.

I don't think he'll beat him, i know he'll beat him. Martinez comfortably beat Cintron and wuz robbed, and he gave Williams his toughest fight to date and arguably beat Williams.

It would be a mistake on Pavliks behalf to do so. A lot of people underestimate Geale, and Pavlik doesn't go so well with fighters that move.

Pavlik is also in discussion to fight Bute (most likely at the end of the year tho).

Styles make fights. :TU:

However, I think Pavlik will be able to impose himself on Martinez enough to get the victory.

No just watched his last couple of fights and saw the ability the guy possess's, he's talented and has been on the end of some bad decisions.

Martinez did brilliantly to not get caught by a big shot. Pavlik's confidence was all but ruined last night. I knew Martinez was good, but no that good. It also elevates Paul Williams in my eyes.
