FLINT ISLAND wrote:The rot has already set in for David Haye.

Below I list the reasons why.........................................

1.) He has not progressed since Crusierweight - just put on more weight - and if anything has stagnated as a fighter.

2.) Falling in love with his power - Hamed did it - now Haye is doing it - the rest of his game is being neglected

3.) Sucking up the "King David" hype the media and all the yes men glory hangers on are giving him - lets get this right
he beat a terrible champion in Valuev and is still only a paper champion.

4.) Poor stamnia and runs out of puff too easy

5.) Confidence crisis - usual super confident Haye has major doubts about himself at heavyweight - no pre fight nerves -
but the way he fights at heavyweight - he knows he is only one punch from maybe being knocked out -.

6.) Celebrity Champion - spending far too much time on things like the Jonathan Ross show and Bafata awards - still
probaly has his usual gym sessions but I bet he is not training with the same intensity.

7.) Money and comfort are now secured - it was the end of Hamed - and other fighters - it takes a real raw kind of fighter
like Bernard Hopkins to still stay hungry and moitvated despite being a millionaire several times over.

8.) Wants to get out by the time he is 31 - one eye on retirement is the wrong mentality - he should stick with boxing until
he has accomlisped his goals - whatever age that turns out to be.

9.) Shit chin - when Vitali lands its curtains.

10.) Inexperience - he simply does not know enough in a ring to beat the Klitscko brothers - is only hope is a one shot KO
But if it goes a few rounds - or even the full 12 rounds - I bet he is down heavily on all judges scorecards.

11.) Adam Booth - I give credit that Booth has great Chemistry with Haye - but does he really have the experience and
know how to take Haye to the next level as a World Heavyweight NO 1 - he needs freddie roach or something.

12.) Wife Natasha due to give birth to 2nd child soon - can make him more contented family man - and not want to put
it all on the line like before.

13.) Parties - Birds - Booze - all the tempation is there now for Haye as he is invited to every event on the Celeb circuit.
Lennox Lewis turned up fat for a few fights after all the glitzy parties and just managed to get away with it - Haye
is not so big or strong - and he will be blowing after 3 rounds and taken apart.

14.) Lack of size and stength - he simply isnt big and strong as some of these big lads.

15.) America - Golden Boy want him to fight out in Las Vegas, etc - how many British fighters have you seen come
unstuck out there ?

16.) Training camp - uprooted this fight camp from Cyprus cos he was helping with the promotion of selling the fight
in the UK - a sure sign the fighter is becoming more focused on the money / material aspect than improving as
a fighter.

If only he was as good as enzo mac the love of your life - Flint island aka The "HAYEHATER".

Your post are so sadly haterized (bushism) its embarassing, you must sit at home self harming and making david haye voodoo dolls lol.

He is a much better fighter than Maccarenelli you tit - he has proven that easily.

I dont self harm or make vodoo dolls - I wish Haye every success in life and his career.

You would make a poor psycologist.

Lennox Lewis did break camp once FLINT, It was for the Rahman fight in Africa when he got knocked out, He took a week out in Vegas to film the movie oceans 11... Bad Move and one that ended up tainting his legacy!!

People say David Haye is changing well I prefer to look at it better as adapting.. The guy is fighting guys naturally bigger and stronger than himself so he has to use all the advantages he has to his benefit!! Speed, mobility etc etc, It's not like at cruiserweight anymore were he had all the advantages in height, weight, strength and so on. He know has to box differently as he's a heavyweight and a small one at that!!

I ain't at his level but I kinda know how he feels fighting bigger guys as I always spar and have fought bigger guys wether am or pro, This is the reason I fight differently at 175 cos I know I now have all the advantages ala size, power etc etc.. David Haye is still exciting to watch and will be till the day he retires cos he can be hurt with 1 punch and he can also wipe anyone out with 1 punch also and for that reason alone he'll be exciting for as long as he's getting in a ring.. :TU:

tonyevs wrote:Up untill the Valuev contest (you notice I won`t refer to it as a fight) I was a massive David Haye fan. Sadly since then I have changed my opinion a great deal :-?

Some of the things that made Haye such an attraction are now changed. He is now a low-output counter-puncher .. far from the exciting cruiserweight that first attracted me to him. He also seems to have adopted the pantomine baddie role to sell fights instead of the down to earth honest approach he had earlier on

I may not agree with a lot of Flints initial posts details .. but the Haye of old is alot removed from the Haye of today ... and that is a real shame. I think the old Haye style was alot better all round :-?
He's fighting much bigger men who hit harder than the cruiserweights he fought, so he's not going to go in all gung-ho because that would just be ridiculous and stupid, he's had to adapt his style in order to beat the opponents he's likely to face.

I like Haye, he's a breath of fresh air for a poor heavyweight division. What I like about him is he isn't blind to the possibility of being knocked out. He is the first to admit it can happen to anyone and he doesn't seemed fazed by this. He is also very focused about his goals and seems to want to get out whilst at the top. Also Adam Booth seems to have his head screwed on and was even critical of Haye after the Ruiz fight, certainly not a yes man which is always good for a fighter.

Haye has speed and power which is always a dangerous combination and he is isn't carrying excess weight and is in good shape. I believe he has the ability to stop any fighter if he lands a big right hand.

My only criticism of him is he does tend to rely on his punch a bit too much, plus against Ruiz he could have thrown far more jabs, Ruiz was begging to be hit with them as he was constantly walking forward. Plus he hardly throws any body punches. I do wonder what will happen when he is tagged properly by someone like the Klitschkos as he doesn't appear to have a granite chin.

Im not sure the celeb lifestyle will sway him to be honest. He is very focused on his goals and only want 3-4 more fights, I don't really think he is going to ruin that dream by turning into a Hatton like character. If he retires early he has years to be a playboy. Plus he lives in Cyprus most of the year with his wife and kids so not in London where there are more distractions.

Not sure why some people dislike him?

Why is it that the most childish responses to this thread come from some of the most recent registered users? ... standards are seriously slipping me thinks :(
