Evenly matched fights?

Post by alexpaterson »

After watching Dupas vs Scott IV I was wondering if anyone can think of a fight more evenly matched, Dupas and Scott were so even it could of gone either way and every round could of gone either way.

I never saw it and I've never seen any of the Griffith/Rodriguez fights. But from what I've read it seems like those guys were as tight as it gets.

Great fight, good choice. It was tight, I thought Pacquaio just stole it by a point. 114-113.
i also had pac up by one point. i think i had two rounds even. 5-5-2. the knockdown of course made the difference.

wouldnt complain if marquez took the decision.

I think these two would still be fighting today, if no one would have rang that final bell.

Above posts make me think of Vazquez & Marquez. The third fight was scintillatingly even.

Sure was, I thought marquez edged it, but that stirring rally left me unable to complain. I can't wait until the fourth installment.

...for a time emile griffith was in more split decision fight than any other champion. this count included some of his non-title fights.

even though robinson won all but one of his fights against lamotta, all were considered close and some writers disputed a few of the wins....and jake did keep their title fight a combat before the last few rounds.

Somewhere between rounds 11 and 15 is a point at which Hearns and Leonard are dead even.

Besides the four fights against Luis Rodriguez, Griffith also had three good evenly fought 15 rounders against Nino Benvenuti.
