Went over to Canada and but unbeaten hometown fighter Tyson Cave and put him on his arse twice before stopping him in the final round.
Well done Willie, especially as this qualifies him for an Irish title.

Good win for Willie Casey in Canada
Re: Good win for Willie Casey in Canada
Great win for him on foreign shores against the Naz wannabe. Looks good having that on the record and it's done no harm to his ranking either! Doubt there will be any video footage of the fight unfortunately unless someone from Ireland brought an aul camcorder.

That result looks great on paper, although I know nothing at all of either man.

Unfortunately Dundalk's Michael Kelly tasted his first defeat on the same card.

never heard of the guy but that has certainly taken my notice. very brave to go and fight an unbeaten guy in his home country and put his unbeaten record on the line, but to win as well, very good :)
Re: Good win for Willie Casey in Canada
First time Cave had fought someone with a winning record, his handlers had chose all his opponents carefully but slipped up this time with Casey. I doubt that this beating will bring Cave's enormous ego back to earth, after all, he's the self proclaimed Prince of Halifax and a member of the royal family. Would love to see the tape! Someone captured the evening for sure.
