With gyms putting on shows for Fox would it be possible to build up a rivalry between gyms and promote showdowns between the stables? For example a Grange versus Hit Squad card or something similar. Boxers would be fighting for the pride of the gym and fans would have a "team" to support as well. It could create some interesting match ups and breathe a bit more life and excitment into domestic boxing. It also has the potential to be a great promotional tool for Fox to build interest as well.
What do you guys think?

Are there enough Gyms with enough 't.v.' quality blokes to get it running?Marlin wrote:With gyms putting on shows for Fox would it be possible to build up a rivalry between gyms and promote showdowns between the stables? Not sure. I don't even really know the stables of Grange and Hit Squad.

Body Punch v Grange
I don't think here is enough fighters per stable to give good match ups.
But a very good idea, if only boxing was bigger in Aus

Re: Promotion Idea
I think State Of Origin would be more viable here in Aus especially for a Fox card.
So grab two or three gyms (minimise the amount of gyms to help with costs, rather than 1 fighter from each gym - less trainers, seconds to bring around) to represent a state and have two states face off at a time.
Even do it over a year, make it a series (doesn't even have to be same gyms representing each state each time)
