The WBO title?

Post by Crease »

I was just wondering, as the WBO title is currently vacant, while there be a title fight next week for it?

And if so, are there going to be title eliminators?

Because Carl Froch and Jose Torres would like to put their names forward for the title eliminator. :OhYes:

There will be no eliminators. I will examine the resumes and appoint a fight for the vacated belt, and both fighters will come from the WBO top 10. That leaves Froch and Torres on the outside looking in.

I cant for the life of me, believe that Crease actually thought he was going to get a shot at the WBO

He blatantly dismissed my WBU eliminator request for next week. He thinks he is above the WBU by the looks of it.

I missed that.

Crease, you will not fight for the WBU whilst I hold it.

I'm sorry to hear that Jbacca, :(
but at least make your decision on the truth (which I will post below) and not the bollocks Deno is talking. :TU:

Don't make assumptions Deno, it doesn't become you. :shame:
You are simply talking bollocks...

Allow me to say a few things:
I did not "dismiss" your offer for a WBU title eliminator. :shame:

(The fact is my main priority at the moment is getting both my boxers in the top 25.)

Besides for different reasons my 2 boxers were already spoken for.

FROCH
The fight between Froch vs Moorer was already agreed from back in week 33. :TU:
So, Froch was unavailable for a fight this week. :shame:

TORRES
As for Torres, the fight between him and Mina had been requested via private mail...

I was awaiting Adam's response when I replied to your offer
(on the Week 34 matches thread)
Crease wrote:I have already chosen fights for my boxers this week. Should they be rejected, I would be more than happy :OhYes: :TU:
If Adam had of rejected the Torres vs Mina fight, I would have immediately accepted your offer....

In conclusion I didn't reject or disregard your offer... I accepted it, but the fact was I had already requested a fight before it.

Get your facts straight my friend...
I begged Sockdolager via private mail to give Carl Froch a WBU title shot against James Toney back in week 31, which he gratefull accepted the challenge.

I rate and value the WBU title... And I thanked Sock for giving me the title shot... It is a favour I will remember in the future, if I am ever a title holder. :TU:

Crease, Deno is right.

Why on earth would you want to fight Mina instead choosing the 'WBU route'?

Who cares if it was planned.. this is something worth more than Adamj and his whole stable!

Because when I make an obligation, I stick to it...

Unlike Boxbuzz, I might add. :shame: On 3 occasions Carl Froch has been seeking fights with Rosenbloom, and Maxie turns away from the fight.

Not to mention the Week 34: Avoidance of Gene Tunney. :TU:

This is just the sort of joy and excitement, the good and noble MAXIMUS intended to spread when he came up with the idea to allow a belt to be "borrowed". However he will back round to collect it soon enough. So we suggest no one get overly attached.
