So, is Mitchell vs katsidis on Box Office without Khan then?

Surely not, Warren and Sky wouldnt have the audacity to try that...

It hasn't been officially confirmed which channel Khan is fighting on yet, and although it seems pretty certain that Mitchell v Katsidis will be on sky in some form, nothing has been announced regarding that yet either.
I don't think Mitchell v Katsidis is a PPV card on its own, especially when sky only show three or four fights usually on their UK PPV's. Neither fighter is particularly well known to the casual fan and I honestly can't see it selling well.
It probably won't stop them from putting it on Box office though, but nothing is set in stone. Warren would have the audacity to put it on PPV, he's been doing it with sub-par Khan cards for a couple of years-but its whether sky think it would make them any money.

I've been asking the question for a while now about the Mitchell fight and where it will be shown and in what format.
I sincerely hope this doesn't go the same way as the Burns Martinez match.
Mitchell deserves his crack and I think this will be a high octane fight.
As for the Khan fight well anything could happen UK wise.

I reckon Sky will stick on as a PPV as an appertiser prior to Amir Khan's fight at the Garden's. They might charge extra for it though
Re: So, is Mitchell vs katsidis on Box Office without Khan then?
If Mitchell vs Katsidis is on Sky Box Office by it's self for £15. That is a disgrace. It isn't even for a real world title, it should be on Sky Sports 1.
If Khan vs Paulie is also on the Box Office in the night, then that's a different story. That would be worth £15 out my pocket.
But Mitchell vs Katsidis is not Box Office worthy. Especailly in these hard times. The audacity of Warren and Sky, if they put it on Box Office.![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)

True but Khan is a household name so there was some logic to Warren's thinking. He'd be crazy to put Mitchell on PPV now.chrisfinch wrote:rob12344 wrote:Warren would have the audacity to put it on PPV, he's been doing it with sub-par Khan cards for a couple of years-but its whether sky think it would make them any money.

..... but Khan isn't on Sky at all let alone PPV.
Rumour is its going to ITV4.
Where does that leave the Mitchell fight ?
I just can't see Sky trying to do the Mitchell bill PPV - but stranger things have happened.

As I've said on another thread I know ITV are showing the Khan fight - live. This probably scuppers Sky doing any ppv that day. Would now expect Sky to show on non ppv like the Cleverly bill the other month.

I love Katsidis, and I love Mitchell's fighting style, but £15? Feck off you money-grabbing idiots.
Re: So, is Mitchell vs katsidis on Box Office without Khan then?
I think this will be a great fight but NO WAY is it a PPV fight and I hope that everyone on here does the right thing and refuses to buy it if they try to pull that shit.

Lets waiting and see where Khan fight ends up. I think Mitchell would only be box office with Khan.bfchunk wrote:As I've said on another thread I know ITV are showing the Khan fight - live.
