MTG...... ranking

Post by rhino222 »

our very own martin gillick, who deserted these shores for antipodean fame, is now ranked 35 in the british cruiserweight listings, after 2 bouts, lasting a combined total of less than 2 minutes, MTG has been sparked out in both, yet still we see 2 people behind him in the british ratings.

WTF ...... :shame:

He has no points, neither does Lewis who is 0-7.

I'm seeing a new version of Prizefighter there. Those bottom end Cruiserweight fighters need a win.

Gillick is consistent. He has lost both his fights by first round KO.

One in each hemisphere.

Why? for lying constantly and turning out to be a turkey? Everyone complains about "the dangers of boxing" yet we need to cut slack on a "walter mitty" (BBN words, not mine) character who stepped in the ring with a profficient operator who couldve seriously injured him.

'Sylvester Mittee or Walter Mitty?' - one of my better headlines, that 8)

Rhino desperately, desperately needs some female company if he is looking at the bottom end of domestic cruiserweight rankings

Actually, this has been suggested before and I don't think it's a bad idea.

Here's a challenge for you lot - find eight journeymen within a stone of each other and line 'em up.

There would be some good stories there.

Great credit should also be given to his manager Dave Coldwell.

Because this horse isn't going to get any more dead than it already is.

Quick enough to take the adulation and start threads, should be man enough to take the stick when it all (well most) turns out to be false, fabricated or exaggerated.
When a thread comes up, he's gonna get some stick.

The british Charlie Zelenhoff. :KO:

i looked at the rankings to see who lewis (0-7) had fought because he was unlucky to get defeated by Izzy on the leeds show i went too that liam cameron topped. lewis was not so bad really, and certainly does not deserve his place.

Wasn't it proven then some of his stories were correct though. Eg his amateur pedigree. The report done by him on his pro debut slacked off his weight and conditioning, but said it was clear he had been in the ring before. Which is more than I can say about Zelenhoff.

He did make excuse after excuse though and about how he couldn't get a fight etc. blaming everyone and even asking for on here for a contact detail for his coach!!!!

He did hardly say he was the next Mike Tyson, he just kept saying he was looking for a fight.

I cant remember 100%, but im pretty sure he said he was training at certain places, and then said trainers came on and said "no you're not". "all" being false was over the top, but most was or turned out to be exagerated. Also, amateur "pedigree" implies he was decent.
