At his very best, a fight with Hearns is a toss-up.

He beats all of the rest. A fight with Duran would be razor-thin on the cards though.

I agree with that, though I think Whitaker is also a razor close decision.

I'm glad you didn't include Gavilan. Gavilan/Griffith might be the most impossible mythical match up for me to get a picture of.

Technically sound boxers and boxers with excellent defences rarely lose by big margins. Though they can occasionally get blitzed (like Emile did against Carter).

I think Duran is a 50-50.

I think Hearns liked to fight boxers but over 15 this is a hard one to call.

Griffith beats the rest though Mayweather and Whittaker wouldn't be on many highlight reels.

12 rounds

Vs. Pac – I see this fight as 50-50. Pac southpaw couple with his speed could give problems to any fighter past or present. Griffith is a tough as they come, but so is Pac. This should be one of those SD in my view. Griffith was naturally bigger and stronger, but Pac speed and angles are very good.

Vs. Mosley – I see Griffith winning a UD, but close scores on all the judges.

Vs. DLH – I see Griffith winning a clear UD.

Vs. Sweet Pea – I see Griffith winning a close SD as well. Sweet Pea just stays on the defense while Griffith pressures the action.

Vs. – for me this is a 50 -50 fight. The Duran that defeated SRL could do the same against Griffith.

Vs. Hearns – nobody outboxes Hearns at his very best. Hearns keep him on the distance and wins a clear decision.

Vs. Starling – Griffith by UD.

Thats pretty much how I see it. Pac is the hardest call because we haven't seen him as much at welterweight. All of these would be at least somewhat competitive fights.

Griffith decisions Pacman, Mayweather, Mosley, DLH, Duran, Hearns and Starling at 147.

He gets a draw with Whittaker.

Emile beats all of them. At his very best, he was sensational. He even beats Sugar Ray Leonard and Kid Gavilan when he was on top of his game.
