I've known Clifton for a very long time.
He knows the fight game inside out and I think that reflects very positively in how he goes about things security wise.
Despite knowing Clifton as well as I do, there are no favours.
I once got a little carried away at the conclusion of one of Ryan's fights, and made my way to the apron.
Clifton asked me just to take a step back and gave me a wink.
Absolutely the right thing to do.
Top fella is Clifton.

Here we go again.
Mods, please ban this troll - check out any of his posts this year and he only comes on here to bait 26 or to disparage Rhodes/Coldwell etc.
Assume there's personal history involved that's manifesting itself online, but if this doesn't constitute trolling I don't know what does. I can't recall a single 'proper' constructive or interesting post he's made.
No, leave him be lads.
I just wish he'd be honest and come out the closet by disclosing who he is.
Strange thing is, I do know that he has a good knowledge of boxing and therefore could contribute positively around here.

Indeed - we have discussed the 3 possibilities of who he is - but as stated at the time - he should have the bottle to "out" himself - problem is as soon as we openly debate the possibilities of who he is by naming names then the **** would probably run to his lawyer.
sounds very proffesional. but wasnt clifton making trouble against chisora @ the weigh in with carl baker.i saw him i think on youtube offering chisora out.maybe he wasnt working DD
Clifton was not security that night day - he was Carl's trainer.
You are taking one moment in isolation.
If you consider the whole event, the antics of Chisora in particular, then I think Clifton was right to offer to stick one on the arsehole.
You do know Chisora grabbed Carl and kissed him full on - on the lips !
Being a trainer and taking care of your fighter is a whole different world to security mate.
im in the same industry myself so good to hear his thoughts on it, you do have security sometimes at shows which is terrible and show no common sense so its refreshing to hear the positive views given in the interview
Great article cheers for that. Enjoyed reading it. Nice to know there are some true professionals on the security circuit. There are so many hot headed types about that think a heavy handed approach is the way to go. I know security is a difficult job but being aggressive is not the way to go most of the time. Sure you can get some idiots who won't listen to words, but most of the time you ask someone politely to do something and they will do it. Especially if you are a big f*cker!
It's good to see this subject being discussed. The impression I get is that ringside security is generally well done- I'd feel safe at ringside, if ever I could afford it!

It's often terrible mate in loads of respects. I've seen some right bunfights (and actual ones) after a big fight has concluded. Haye v Valuev in Germany being my most recent. Clowns climbing all over the fecking place.
