Quigley/Anderson in Eliminator. Why no Dilks?

Post by Chris W 1982 »

Reading in Boxing News that Tony Quigley has been nominated to face Kenny Anderson in an eliminator for the British Title.

Has Dilks pulled out so he can challenge Groves?????

Anderson's had first dibs at the shot for a while, can't speak for why Quigley's got it.

Anderson's been in the position for what seems like a lifetime. I was under the impression that Quigley was going to be campaigning at Middleweight

Surprised Dilks has removed himself from the running for a British crack. A shot at Smith in front of the Echo Arena crowd is surely more lucrative then facing Groves for the Commonwealth.

quigley lost his title in a controversial decision, which lead to fw even grabbing the mic to announce a rematch.when does he do that :!:as for anderson he's been in line for a while & david who's been crying out he's been ducked etc has pulled out on many occasions.
dilks is further down the pecking order, & has challenged groves before the adamu fight, not sure if he'll still want it.

anderson is undefeated??? quigley lost to a very good fighter in cleverley & a close contested one to smith :!:
consider there career's :!: comments like this are pathetic.the two fighters in question are great too watch.why should we lose a fighter because they sufferd a loss

i think the board have done the correct thing in making a final eliminator coz quigley gave smith a hard fight and deserves another shot if he beats anderson.this will be a very good fight with quigley very busy and anderson possesing his power

simply because neither of these two guys are going to beat the likes of james degale imo if and when they were to meet,so you tell me were the loser of this contest can go?

Quigley can drop back down to middleweight, his natural weight and Anderson can get involved in fights with David, Dodson and Dilks and make another run at some titles. I really don't believe that a couple of losses should end your career. Look at some of the records of fighters in old times and they are littered with losses, although admittedly they fought more often.

losing means nothing, depending on the fashion of the loss & what effect it has on the fighters health.apart from that there are some really close & good contest's in this division.
