This Friday Fight Night- General discussion. And Stuff.

Post by whicker »

Well, the Vassell V Purdy fight looks like a decent match up - and as always with two British fighters, both can be expected to give it their all.

I'm not as sure about the Watson V Lusambya fight, - the "their man v African" route.

The undercard contains nothing that appeals to me.

To be honest, I was a touch surprised that this was a Hatton promotions show. Looking at it, I would have thought it more like a Barry Hearn card.

last week matchroom card was quality. Also sykes v Morris was matchroom that was a very good fight. Hatton bills have had poor main fights. If this was a warren bill everyone be moaning instead it's fatman bill no one has a go at it!

I think Vassell should target Purdy's body in this one.

What a fantastic fight. 2 warriors. Loads of hurtful body punches. These two shame most 'world' title fights......

Vasell scored more, but Purdy does not deserve to lose anything....

Top fight that. Would happily watch them two go at it again. Dunno how Purdy managed to take them body shots all night though, they looked well spiteful.

Yet again, a weak/disappointing African opponent for a Commonwealth Title.

Sure, good win for Watson, but even so...

+1. Got in late and watched the Vassell - Purdy fight on sky plus.

The Watson fight does nothing though to reassure me about the current state of the commonwealth title.

Ellis should really call it a day too.
