I actually think it would be good for Hennessey to stick with Primetime for the entire Super Six. The logic being, that this will strengthen Primetime's brand and help them grow and benefit Hennessey in the long run too as he will have more TV options for his fighters and with the improvements to Primetime's platform they are reaching more or less the same audience as Sky. Obviously Sky is a beast in terms of marketing etc, but there are a lot of promoters without TV deals and if I was one of them I would be picking up the phone to see if I could negotiate a revenue share deal with Primetime.

Agreed, Alba. It's a bit of a pain in the arse for the company in some respects (for a start, they'd have to guarantee a certain amount of fights, names, etc and they often fall through) plus, although it seems like value for the punter, what would happen if you paid for a year in advance for Setanta just before it went tits up?

A mini-season ticket say, covering three decent matches for £29.99 might be a half-decent compromise. I also very much like the aspect they're managing to chuck in some free action which is of interest to the hardcore fan but wouldn't work as PPV.

It would be a tough deal to implement (the season ticket). Alot would depend on the PR team at primetime.

Like if they guarenteed similar (even slightly less) coverage CONSISTENTLY every month like they've had on March and April, then I would gladly pay a annual 120 quid. However, thus far it is inconsistent (understandable) - if they announced some certain contracts (like Setanta did) - then it would be great. Cause I did pay for Setanta for the boxing.... yep watch the football also, but wouldn't have paid if it wasn't for the boxing. At the moment I wouldn't stick to the PPV options (if a customer had an option for PPV pr a season ticket) cause between Jan and March we didn't have any boxing and I would be worried about the same. It appears they are getting the Super Six on a fight by fight basis - so even that is not guarenteed on Primetime. A little bit concerning for the season ticket option is that the head of primetime could only name one bill being showcased after the Froch fight.

It should be attainable, even it is was with a UK promoter without a TV deal.... such as VIP.

Setanta didn't go tits up cause of the boxing..... paying over the odds for the footie was what bit them on the ass.

Also, a little word to the head of Primetime if he is reading. Not all Boxing fans are MMA fans. Yeah some are, and I've got to respect that it is popular here. Similarly, not all MMA fans are boxing fans..... it might be something to consider when there comes a clash of a good MMA bill with a good boxing bill.

Hey primetime.... how about, Vasquez / Marquez,4.
+ Abner mares/ Yhonny perez, card.
Now that would be worth paying £14.95 for.

I agree with that. The more channels willing to show boxing the better. Primetime obviously had their 'teething' problems but people should give them a chance and support them.

The option of more boxing can never be a bad thing but relics like Holyfield - Botha in the middle of the night on a channel called Primetime did make me laugh :D

Nice to see another source of boxing on TV but £14.95 seems bloody expensive for one match (given that the under card does even bear mentioning). I meant you can attend a decent domestic show for about £30.

They missed out on not getting tonight's show. Great card. Be nice if they picked up one of the Williams/Cintron, Marquez/Vazquez or Cotto/Foreman fights

Godfather of Dole wrote:Are they still charging a registration fee on top of fight-by-fight fees? No way on earth will they get me to part with reg fee but it is good that they are showing the fights. Froch fights are made for live TV but I'm afraid I'll continue to download them as long as they are charging the reg fee.
Yeah i asked about this. Basically it's a Sky tv thing more than themselves.

Because the billing is done through your registered card i think i recall and not via your sky bill, which is what happens when you normally buy something through the TV screen. You know like King Khan or Guzzling Grannies.
