The first thing that left him was his reflexes from making the weight so bad in those days of same day weigh ins. He was a shell past the age of 25 much like benitez and much because of his long amateur career. The mccallum fight was the last time we saw the prime cobra.

I could see him outboxing mayweather over 15 thats how good he was!

Mayweather doesn't like other quick fighters and he would never have been hit so hard. It would still be close though.

He had Eddi futch behind him and was a terrific defensive counterpuncher on his best day.

On his best day at 147 I think Starling although not in FMJ's league was still better than anyone bar a inactive, rusty,38 year old Mosley that FMJ has faced at 147lbs (natural 147lbs)
