Floyd is too good for him. 2 fast 2 slick and 2 dam good. 15 rounds UD.
Although I wont be surprised if peeps on here choose Curry.
I think Curry was overated.

Competitive, but I don't think Curry had the quickness to pull this one off. Mayweather by wide UD.

I see what you guys mean.

But i would bet my house Donald took him!

Don was called the Cobra cos of his astonishing reflexes in his prime.

The first thing that left him was his reflexes from making the weight so bad in those days of same day weigh ins. He was a shell past the age of 25 much like benitez and much because of his long amateur career. The mccallum fight was the last time we saw the prime cobra.

I could see him outboxing mayweather over 15 thats how good he was!

Slick boxing is not the way to beat Curry.

If you thought Mayweather had trouble with De La Hoya he will go through absolute hell with Curry.

Curry's competition was clearly better at WW, and he's better than anyone Mayweather's faced at this weight. After Floyd tastes Curry's power he becomes more cautious and drops a clear UD.

Agree. Curry also beat Starling who was a cagey, if sometimes lazy fighter, who knew every defensive trick in the book.

Mayweather doesn't like other quick fighters and he would never have been hit so hard. It would still be close though.

I'm a huge fan of Curry and I believe he is underrated due to his rapid decline.

Curry had some lightning quick hands along with a hell of a lot of power. Seeing him rock Mike McCallum is a testament to that.

I just don't see Mayweather standing a chance without trying to fight on the inside and even then I don't see him winning.

I second all of that. When you look at the trouble Mayweather had with a shot De La Hoya at 147. Oh my goodness a prime Don Curry at 147 would beat him

Based on what we saw Saturday night against Sugar Shane would anyone revise their opinion.

After all Donald Curry also fought in that "gunfighters" stance shane does and used his reflexes to get off lightning counters.

I still think Curry takes it. The Curry of 85 was 23-24 years old and had beaten another very good defensive peek a boo stylist in Marlon Starling twice.

It's kind of toss up for me. What about Donald Curry's chin? He got dropped a couple of times by INFERIOR fighters. So his chin was very suspect.

I don't think Curry's chin was that bad.

Which inferior fighters dropped him?

and even so Mayweather I can't see Mayweather being able to capitalize on that and knock him out.

Marlon Starling wern't in FMJs league!

Marlon beat guys like Breland, Honeyghan, Simon Brown, he almost beat Michael Nunn and the fight was a draw on one card.
He had Eddi futch behind him and was a terrific defensive counterpuncher on his best day.

On his best day at 147 I think Starling although not in FMJ's league was still better than anyone bar a inactive, rusty,38 year old Mosley that FMJ has faced at 147lbs (natural 147lbs)

I'd have to agree on that one.

Curry would stop Mayweather late in the eighth round.
