Floyd Mayweather vs Shane Mosley is not for Shane's WBA belt...... if Shane loses he gets stripped, if he wins he keeps the title - Floyd doesn't get the title if he wins.
Anyone care to explain quite how P4P #2 is not sanctionable?
WBA Madness.
Re: WBA Madness.
None of the alphabets are doing things properly, interim, super, recess, diamond, silver champs......
Also see the WBA have elevated Sturm to super champion - yes he has defended a number of times, yet he holds only one belt. Mundine and Golovkin to fight for the "regular" championship.
What have the alphabets being discussing at their joint meetings lately - how they can continue to disgrace "championship" boxing?

Well, since it's Floyd, who can't be bothered with the belt, it means a bit of a blow to WBA doesn't it?
Guess that's not exactly something to be unhappy about?![[icon_twisted.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif)

Re: WBA Madness.
Floyd has said he doesnt want to pay the 3%(of what??) sanctioning fees. I assume that he doesnt value the belt enough.

Re: WBA Madness.
Of 40 million USD. Mayweather has said several times over the last few weeks he's collecting 40 million to Mosley's 6 million. You can hear him say this over on BS.com's latest video's.dbf wrote:Floyd has said he doesnt want to pay the 3%(of what??) sanctioning fees. I assume that he doesnt value the belt enough.
I think he's correct, why should the WBA be charging him 1.2m USD, its a rediculous amount o pay for a sanctioning fee, daylight robbery if you ask me.

That's what I'm thinking. Especially since, for a superstar like Floyd, there's no difference whatsoever if the belt is at stake or not. At least money-wise.ALI wrote:Of 40 million USD. Cheers ALI, thought that was the case but thought I would look stupid suggesting that a body could charge that much. I foolishly forgot just how ridiculous all the bodies are!!ALI wrote:Of 40 million USD. Mayweather has said several times over the last few weeks he's collecting 40 million to Mosley's 6 million. it could even be more than that - wouldnt the 3% be on the total purse as opposed to just his own?dbf wrote:Cheers ALI, thought that was the case but thought I would look stupid suggesting that a body could charge that much.
