Yeah, I hope so.

Smith to make a big statement in this fight. Wide points victory (providing he doesn't gas).

Come on Swifty.

Buzzing this fight is made, been nagging for a meaninful fight for a while so time to prove my point now. Got plenty of respect for Simpson, he is a tough strong fella but believe I will show my class now. Cant wait. Thanks for the backing :bag:

Shocked to say the least. :o

This is a big step up for Smith, especailly considering the opposistion he has been facing.

John Simpson has alot of experience and is on the best form of his life. John is a real workhorse, strong, fit, and determined.

This could either go two ways. Simpson is just to expereince and seasoned for Smith (See Truscott vs Simpson). Or Smith really rises to the occasion and uses all his tools and ability to get a decision victory.

Interesting fight. :OhYes:

great fight this mate. hopefully in the echo arena. no doubt you will lift the belt at the end, there are a few scousers with belts and looks like more to come now with swifty getting his shot. also the likes of selkirk, pricey, and others getting a title shot in the not too far future.

am a big fan of swifty, been watching him for years as an amateur. amazing talent, hopefully this is just a stepping stone to much bigger things in the future.

best of luck swifty, no doubt see u soon :TU:

Cannot believe this to be honest.I know $wifty is highly thought of,but could they be rushing him?Truscott is a superb boxer(lacking power),and Simpson may well have ruined him.I will be backing Stephen, but am amazed Fwank has allowed this match so soon.Get Gavin in with Daws and we could be seeing a change in the approach of alledgedly

Wow big step up, props for taking the fight! I've got a lot of respect for Simpson, he really does take on all comers, even in their backyards and its nice to see him come good after contemplating retirement. A real "throwback" type of fighter. One thing is for sure, if Swifty manages to do a job on Simpson or even win clearly, he is definitely the goods. Best of luck to both fellas. Should be a cracker!

Won't happen, and not to cause arguments but you have no basis to judge that opinion on really - Stephen hasn't been asked any questions in the ring yet - In over 150 amateur fights against the best in the world(Tishenko, Lomachenko, Frankie Gavan! & co) Stephen has never been stopped or put down.

Stephen is tough trust me. He's strong as an ox, can bang and has one of the best brains I've seen.
Simpson is a very good fighter, tough, strong and relentless as well as fit. Experienced and proven over 12 rounds - Our camp know this and knew it before asking for the fight.

It is natural that Stephen will be the underdog, natural that people will say what you have said and Stephen will relish it.
The amateur experience Stephen has had is priceless and the people around Stephen know what he is about and just how good he is.

I think it has the makings of a great fight and as a boxing fan, it's one I look forward to....

As Stephen's brother I cannot wait to see him perform and hopefully win his first of many titles :TU:

Good to see you are taking the step up so early in your pro career Stephen (unlike numerous others in the FW camp that can be mentioned).

Should be a great fight and good luck to you mate, but i think it might be a little too much at this time in your pro gloves :box:

this won't be happening arnie, john will win this fight and win it well. stephen's a very good fighter but john has improved bundels in the last year winning by stoppage in his last 3 fights.i respect smith for taking the fight it shows he's very confident something which will fire john on even more.send my regards to the lads in your gym.BN.
