One Carl's sparring partner, the other went life and death with him,so you rate them?
His opinions on both fighters position in the rankings are not unusual. Other people have mentioned that they consider both fighters positions to be too low, so I don't think that G0mez's comments on their rankings are worthy of contempt.
mickey1975 wrote:Yet Dirrell beat him(in everyone outside Nottinghams opinion),and he's a joke. You need banning mate.Your turning a knowledgeable forum into some sort of propaganda machine to make your mate look good
You think Froch is a joke? I am not from Nottingham and I thought Froch won by a few points. I haven't read all of G0mez's posts but I have never considered him as a likely candidate for banning. I think you are being unfair to G0mez with your comments.
I rate Froch!!!Its just i think Dirrell won that fight, that isnt against the law,is it?I also think Dirrell looked superb against AA.GOmez told me on here he had a problem with me when i thought it was harmless internet banter. The guy trawls the internet to look for negative comments regarding Calzaghe and Khan.Everyone on here knows you are not going to get a balanced argument out of the guy,so what's the point of him posting?Still,im sure he wont need you to fight his battles for him.....He's got a very expensive fortnight tour of Denmark to look forward to because his "best mate" never gave him an indication of what was actually going on.I remember him on here telling everyone the date was set in stone and showing maps of Denmark, best travel routes,etc...He should be banned for that.Cost people a fortune

The British champions - Norton, Webb, Daws, Williams, Sykes and Bayaar are not ranked, as well as Smith. That is seven British champions outside of the top 30.

The British championship alone is not enough to earn a top 30 place.

Blimey, wish I had so much time on my hands (meaning I just don't have the time to follow the game like I used to, even though I read BN cover to cover and watch web every day, just don't soak it all in like I used to. Remember a time when I used to have a chart of world champions down to light-fly and their strengths and weaknesses and calculate these and rate them... was a proper nugget in the late 80s early 90s).

This is always such a subjective/personal issue... fair few I'd switch, plus you've Hatton = inactive, plus Dunne and Woods = retired?

ImElvis666 wrote:I have the same gripe with it as I did last time. Andy Lee should be ahead of both Barker and Duddy as he has beaten better opponents. You are overrating M. Hatton a little bit.
When Lee fights again he will most likely enter the rankings again.
ImElvis666 wrote:Also, why not just call it British and Irish Top 30 p4p. It's incredibly arrogant and insulting to Irish people (what with history and that which I won't get into) . I mean, it's not difficult to do, why be so stubborn about it?
I really don't want to insult Irish posters, but my rankings have been called the "British Top 30 P4P" for almost 4 years and most Irish posters seem happy with my acknowledging the Irish fighters with having "(Irish)" next to the Irish fighters names.
ImElvis666 wrote:If I made a top American p4p list and then put in British fighters with "British" in brackets next to the British fighters you would think "WTF? why not call it American and British p4p instead of just American implying that Britain is some sort of region of America. Can you not see how disrespectful it is? I like the fact you go to the trouble of making the list and you are a great poster but that thing you do really gets under my skin.
The relationship between Ireland and Britain is a lot closer than the relationship between America and Britain, in my opinion. If someone did do an American list with British fighters included I would think it strange, but I would not be insulted.

ImElivis666, I repect that you are trying to defend the honour of Ireland. I hope that my assurance that I am not trying to degrade the integrity of Ireland's seperate identity from Britain will be enough to dissuade you from further insistence on this issue.

I do not want to change the name of my Monthly rankings of British and Irish fighters and I have no intention of ever relenting on this issue.

This might be one of those times that I disagree with popular opinion. I didn't think think that Smith's performance against Dodson warranted a place in the top 30, others might disagree.

If you rate Froch then why did you call him a joke? Or were you calling G0mez a joke?

Does a person have to be balanced to post here?

I don't think he should be banned for making a mistake.

If Hatton retires then I will remove him. I plan to take Woods out this month and take Dunne out in September.

Horse. As for the post above,i do rate Froch,i would be mad not to considering he is a W.B.C Champ from the north of England.Anyone else,I would have been there when he won the title and defended. He just rubs me up the wrong way.GOmez,on the other hand, has just got on my nerves with his sheer blindness to anything that does not suit Carl.Anyone could see Dirrell was the business against Abraham, yet they wont even give him that.I admit he should have toughed it out.Ironically,it made,Carl look a lot better getting past Dirrell after seeing the Abraham bout. No,you dont need a balanced opinion to post on here, but it helps.I have let myself down getting into pointless arguments with someone who is obviously a friend of Carl's,so we will never agree. To support Froch, you shouldnt have to hammer Calzaghe and Khan at every oportunity.I bet i was around boxers before him,yet he talks to me like i am a Khan fan boy,or makes out that im stuck up Calzaghe's arse, when,i have reasons not to be(wont say on here),just giving him credit for what is undeniably a great career.

Bi difference between someone dying and retiring. We have all seen boxers come out of retirement at some stage.

Groves and Harrison both won their title fights this month. The effect of these fights on their ranking will be shown in May's rankings.
