Williams vows to shock Sexton after recovering from illness
Williams vows to shock Sexton after recovering from illness

Apparently Danny Williams has only recently recovered from a longterm medical issue that he's been suffering from since the Klitschko fight. Take a read and draw your own conclusions. It certainly seems that Danny is knuckling down for what will be his last fight. How do you see a motivated Williams doing against Sexton? I think Sam has done well, particularly against Rogan, but he's not indestructable by any means. Thoughts?

Re: Williams vows to shock Sexton after recovering from illness
Williams will batter him - Williams for all his fragility has only been knocked out by serious punchers, take on board he is a seasoned 12 round fighter whereas Sexton was blowing against Rogan in both fights, Sexton doesn't have the experience (or ringcraft) the punch or the skills to beat even this version of Danny Williams - it will be similar to the Gammer fight - Sexton may get an early lead but Williams will have stopped him by the tenth.
Re: Williams vows to shock Sexton after recovering from illness
williams has a reputation as being a shot fighter so as soon as sexton lands a few clean blows the referee will stop the fight
imo he should retire
imo he should retire

I'm a little dubious, he looked in great shape against Gammer.. I think he weighed in a little over 16 stone and he looked much sharper for it. I do think there's a good chance he'll stop Sexton, but its a great test for Sexton and we should find out a lot more about him whatever the outcome.Ben Carey wrote:http://news.boxrec.com/news/2010/exclus ... ry-illness

The real shock will be if he actually turns up on fight night

I think Mr Kipling has the answer to your question

I'm glad Danny is actually training for this and is at his best. Will be the more sweeter when Sam wins.

I wound be very very surprised if Danny were to pull it off. But you can never say never with Danny Willaims.
